Idle hands are the Devils playthings ;)

I am a third generation silversmith. My mother and her father as well as all my uncles and their children are silversmiths in Mexico, where she is from. Some of them are actually silver sculptors and have created very impressive pieces such as a silver chair, 4 foot tall silver Christ mounted on a cross for a church- even a silver eagle that once sat atop the desk of the president of Mexico himself. My grandfather had a national stamp in his honor with one of his works featured. You could say, then, that working with silver is in my blood.

Silver is my creative outlet when my trade as a machinist can be very monotonous and mindless. I love experimenting very much. It is difficult for me to mass produce my ideas because all I want to do is design new things- make it and on to the next.

It would be very easy for me to "make what sells" but I must follow what I love and the unique designs that make me excited. I'm excited about the future, of technology. I would love to have been an industrial designer. The ideas people had of the future from the past is very interesting to me- the design aesthetic for futurism that goes with Art Deco, the weird but fantastical ideas of M.C. Giger, the brilliant playfulness of M.C. Escher.

I am a daydreamer and the only way to quiet my mind is to create with my hands.

This is my mother, my helper. She is a great problem solver and is there for me when I can't manage with just two hands.

Some of my work is ready made to ship while other pieces are made to order or have to be handmade again, please be aware that generally I will require a few days to ship out an order. Thanks!

Accepted payment methods

The listed shipping costs are for the most economical shipping available, ie the slowest way. Please ask how long your package might take to reach you before ordering. I can make arrangements for quicker shipping if requested.

As you can see, shipping is much higher for Canada than the US. The reason is that I ship my pieces in little boxes inside padded envelopes. To ship to the US, Canada Post charges me a minimum of about $6.00. To ship to within Canada, the package does not fit the requirements for regular mail, its too thick- so I'm charged about $12 for a "small package".

I realize its ridiculous to charge more for local but I'm just passing along the cost, honest! Thanks for understanding.

If you order an item and it does not arrive in a reasonable timeframe, I will offer you a refund or possibly a replacement with a more secure shipping method.

If you are not happy with what you purchased once it arrives, return it and I will refund you the price. Excluding body Jewellery for health reasons.
