love the colour, and comfortable
Bubbles of resin-y gorgeousness!
I love jewellery, i always have.
My passion through all aspects of my design work has always been driven by the idea of a one off piece, whether that be an experience, a hand drawn card or a piece of jewellery.
I trained as a Theatre designer and have worked successfully since graduating on a variety of different and exciting productions and installations but my thirst for creating beautiful things was not quenched by this alone, so unsatisfied by designating at least 18hrs a day to design work, i thought i would add in a few more and went on several jewellery making courses including Silversmithing and Resin casting.
The Resin casting courses really captured my imagination,"Just think what you could encapsulate in a bubble of Resin, to be treasured forever!"
And that is where DagazDesigns began...
Since that "Eureka" moment, i have been busily working away in my North London studio, experimenting with different combinations of media: images, photographs, oil paints, pressed flowers, Gold leaf, watch parts and my own photography.
I love the idea that every piece i make is unique and never to be repeated, so when you buy from DagazDesigns, no one anywhere in the world will own an item like it.
Once I had established my brand, I took the opportunity to introduce my Alice in Wonderland range. These pieces combine romantic, vintage style settings with classic Alice illustrations by John Tenniel. The range runs from small lapel pins to beautiful vintage style looking glass settings, all full of colourful and expressive portraits of well loved characters.
As well as online, my work is now stocked in shops around London and I sell at craft markets around the country too.
I absolutely love working on commissions and since opening, have created a multitude of special gifts for special people including birthday presents, Fathers day gifts and a 10 year anniversary ring.
If you like my work but have a specific image or idea you are interested in creating, get in touch and let's see what we can do together!
Alongside DagazDesigns, i have also set up a little brother company called "Kidlinks". This company specialises in creating handmade gifts encapsulating childrens' art work in keyrings and cufflinks. You send me the image, be it a drawing, handprint, footprint, painting or even the paw print of a treasured pet, and i will shrink it down and fit it into your chosen setting, and send it to you in a Kidlinks presentation box.
A Theatre Designer by trade. I love giving and receiving handmade items of jewellery so decided to start making my very own. I enjoy working with mixed media and contrasting unexpected imagery in feminine settings for a quirky vintage look.
I've been creating jewellery for a couple of years now with illustrations, photographs and whatever else catches my magpie eye.
Have a look around and please get in contact if you would like a custom piece made.
