The work on these mills is awesome--this picture does not do the craft justice! Loved the care instructions and business story too. Thanks for the great product!

Kim, Words cannot express how much I love the grinders, your presentation and your craft! The pieces are so beautiful...true statement pieces on my counter top. Thank you for taking great care in shipping and just all of the finishing touches. I know what to order for future wedding gifts! Thanks again and keep on turning!!!!!

I placed a custom order and the service was fast and the quality of the product is superb. I will have these mills for many years. They are a pleasure to look at and work very well.

Colorful shavings on my shop floor from roughing out a lot of salt & pepper mills. Mostly purple and black but a couple red and black too. I do end up with some of the most colorful shavings I've seen.
Finished t-handle bottle stopper & corkscrew combinations. Find the corkscrew by unscrewing t-handle from the stopper. A few wood and a couple acrylic colors. Great housewarming gift. #etsygiftidea
Just finished turning this pepper mill. Ready for some finish, then a buff and off to it's new home it will go. Which mill would you like for yourself? I'm always glad to make more.

From trees to your table

A typical day for me usually starts out on the computer, emailing and/or working on my site. I then make my commute to my shop. That's an inside joke here with the family, as a road salesman, over the years I put on more than a million miles driving in all kinds of weather. Now my commute consists of walking down 14 steps into my basement shop. The morning and early afternoon is spent turning pens, bottle stoppers, pepper mills or salad bowls.

Then it's usually off to one of the local playing fields, basketball courts or tennis courts to watch one of our teenage girls compete in a school sport.

At night it's usually back to the shop to finish up whatever order that I'm working on or back onto the computer while watching a little TV.

Our bowls and mills are made from locally grown and sustainably harvested wood. A lot of the burls are brought to me because the loggers don't want them to go to waste and they know that I will turn them into something beautiful.

I worked for many years as an on the road heavy duty truck & trailer parts salesman. My wife and I built our house and I built the cabinets and furniture for our new house. I started turning in the early spring of 2000. It all started because I wanted to make a set of bunk beds for my daughters.
