Welcome to Dainty Rascal, where I create one of a kind wedding and event gowns made to your measurements. I can create any style of gown from pictures, or from ideas in your mind. I can sketch up your dream dress from a list of style requests.

Normal lead time on custom couture is 4-12 weeks depending on the dress. I do have rush options available if you need it right away. Alterations are $30/hr. plus shipping, I cannot guarantee return dates on alterations as I have a very full schedule. I would highly recommend you find a seamstress in your area to make any necessary adjustments as she will be able to fit you in person.

This is a beautiful custom piece that fits perfectly. I would strongly recommend this shop and it's artist(s) to anyone looking for gorgeous and unique custom clothing items. I sent Suzy a few photographs of what I wanted and she made my dreams come true! This shop also provided great customer service throughout the ordering process. Thank you so much:)

Absolutely love this dress! The fabric is so cute. It fits impeccably! Amazing quality. I've never owned a dress made to my measurements, it's blowing my mind. It's all I ever want to wear. I can't wait to order more from her!

Shop policies

Hello!
Thanks for being responsible and checking out my policies! I Do my very best to make everyone fall in love with their orders, so please do let me know if there is a problem, there is always a solution. If you find you need any alterations, you are welcome to send the dress back to Dainty Rascal along with pictures of how the dress fits and what needs to be taken in/let out etc. I would really recommend that you find a seamstress/tailor near you who can it you in person, as that will always allow for a much better fit, rather than over the internet and through pictures. Please make sure you read my Shipping and Return policies carefully.

Purchasing any item from my store means you agree to all policies listed in my shop.

Payment
*Credit/Debit through Etsy is preferred method of payment.

*Checks and Money Orders are accepted, but nothing ships until payment clears.

*Payment is required within 5 days of purchase, not including clearance time for checks/money orders.

*For Custom Items, a down payment is required, please ask.

Shipping
* I do my very best to get orders out on time, but please order as soon as possible so we can be certain you get your outfit on time! I can not ever guarantee a delivery date on custom orders. With art there are always unforeseen events. Order at least 10 weeks in advance for an accurate delivery date.

*All pertinent shipping confirmation/receipts will be emailed to you upon shipment for proof of costs and delivery timetables.

*I will provide gift packaging should you be sending someone a gift, just let me know and I will wrap and ribbon and decorate the package.


Shipping Prices:

*Shipping prices depend on when you need the item shipped and where you live. I package all my clothing myself and it does cost me to buy the packaging and ship it. If you want an overnight shipping, you must be willing to pay for that service. If you can't afford the shipping, let me know, there are cheaper delivery options, although they may take up to 14 business days.

*Rush Delivery costs cover the rush delivery charge that I have to pay to the shipping company and do not reflect my work time. This is a separate charge from construction.

Shipping Insurance:

*Shipping Insurance is extra. If requested, I will bill you upon payment of shipping, when the insurance cost for a particular item will become clear. Most items are auto-insured up to $100 by USPS, please ask about the item you would like to purchase. See Refund Policy, in case of damaged or lost in transit item.


Shipment Time:

*Vintage items will be shipped the next day (except Friday and Saturday orders which will ship Mondays), and arrive within 3-5 days US and 6-10 Internationally.

*Custom items will be created and shipped as soon as possible. Custom Orders will be given an estimate, but please understand that I am at the mercy of the USPS delivery people, and that if you choose to order a fabric online, it will take one to three extra weeks to ship to me, sometimes longer, and there may be additional shipping costs.


INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:

*Import duties, taxes and charges are NOT included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
Refunds and Exchanges
ALL SALES : NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS!


Custom Sales:

*All custom made pieces are non-refundable as they are made to fit only you. No refunds will be given because of late delivery or missed deadline. We also will not accept refunds based on color choices as all dye lots may differ slightly. There are no monetary refunds for any reason, ever. This is all custom work and I do need to pay myself as well as buy the fabrics.

*Please remember that I have already purchased the fabric and notions and taken the time to make your item. When you send me your measurements, I will use them exactly, so please be certain that they are ACCURATE so I can provide a perfectly fitted garment. You may need a seamstress near you to make final adjustments to your item as it is difficult to fit a person without physically meeting.

*If there is a major sizing issue on my part, with a custom item, you may send me the dress, and once I receive I will alter it once for free. You must pay shipping costs back and forth.

*If you are completely dissatisfied with your dress, I will re-sell the dress for you on my site. This is not a return, just a courtesy to sell the dress which you own on my site. Once it sells, I will send you a check for the sale price minus Etsy fees. Occasionally, I will trade your dress for something vintage.


Vintage Sales:

*For Vintage Items, please choose carefully and always ask questions if you are unsure of purchasing!

* Vintage items can only be returned within 30 days for STORE CREDIT ONLY. A returned vintage item must be in sold-as condition. Exchange credit is good for any item in store, including new Custom Item. Shipping costs and etsy and paypal fees will not be refunded or put towards your new item.

*Refunds for vintage clothing will ONLY be accepted if there was a gross misrepresentation in SIZE. Occasionally staining or small tears are overlooked, as it is vintage clothing, usually over 50 years old. In such cases you may accept store credit, or I will resell the dress for you on my site, and once sold, I will send you the new buyers payment and a pre-paid shipping label to send the dress to its new owner.

*Damaged/ Lost in Transit Items:
This is the only scenario in which you may receive a refund. if your item is insured by USPS, the timing of your refund will be based on the time it takes to process an insurance claim (often many weeks). Please see Shipping Policy for more information on shipping insurance. I do not ever send out damaged items.


All Items:

*All receipts/paperwork regarding refund, exchange or damage claims will be e-mailed to you for proof of action/costs.

Discount prices on large orders. Please inquire with your budgets, I want to be able to work something out for you! I have even been known to trade! I also do bridal dresses, bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, Gloves, Men's Ties, and Vests and Vintage reproductions in all sizes.
