Very neat item at a fair price. Condition as described. Giving as a housewarming gift for family moving to the city on the bottle. Ellen was very pleasant, prompt, and helpful throughout the transaction. She even went out of her way to save me a few dollars on shipping costs. Item still arrived quickly and carefully packed at reduced shipping price. Thank you!

Connecticut Yankee moves to Texas

While I loved living on Long Island Sound, I didn't think I could face one more winter. So I moved to Texas with all my vintage dishes, linens, children's books, tin toys, clocks and and antique furniture. Yes, it cost me a lot to move!

Here in Austin, I met a wonderful man who also has an appreciation for antiques and vintage items and helps me with identification, repairs and overall love and support.

Many of the items for sale in my shop made the move to Texas with me. They've been lovingly cared for and their histories have been researched with great care. It's time to share them with others for their collections or to be used as a movie prop or other advertising piece.

Excitingly, some of my items have shown up in TV shows and movies! A vintage globe that was in my shop is now on display at a major department store on Fifth Avenue in New York City!

A toy car was sold to a production company in LA for use in a popular TV show. (Think advertising agency in the 1950's and 60's)

And we just sold a pinball machine to another production company, this time in NY, for a TV show in production. How exciting is that!

My grandparent's dairy farm in upstate NY was the inspiration for my shop name. I spent many wonderful summer days going through all the interesting stuff in the attic, farmhouse and the dairy barn. We had a family reunion at the farm several years ago and 200 people showed up! Was it ever fun!

I collect children's books and paper ephemera to excess,
so I opened another shop on Etsy.
