About

"I too, will something make and joy in the making" is my favorite quote - I just wish I knew who said it.

Daisy and Florrie came about after a many years {20+} of doing shows of all types - craft shows, art fairs and farmers markets. All that physical work took took a toll on my-not-so-young-body and opening an Etsy shop was very appealing. I've enjoyed learning how to make use of the technology to promote and sell what I make with my own two hands. Hand work is so important to me - I can't imagine not making things. At the same time, vintage items fascinate me - I always wonder about the story attached to the item. Was it a gift? Did it mean something special? Or was it just an everyday item that never crossed the owner's mind? There is much to be learned from the past and good craftsmanship with originality is what I take from it and try to infuse into all that I make and do.

Hello! Thank you for stopping in. Like most Etsyans, I wear many hats - and have many interests as my shop shows. Hardly a day goes by that I'm not working on some "artsy" project or exploring the past history of a vintage item.

Hello!
Thank you for visiting Daisy and Florrie. Like my grandmothers, I'm a bit rural and a bit city in my work. I like the practical with a little glitz. Also, I haven't decided what I want to be "when I grow up" so my work and interests can vary quite a bit! Like Daisy, I believe in value for your dollar and like Florrie, I believe things should make you feel special.
Please visit again soon to see what the "girls" have been up to!
