Announcement   Unique handmade jewelry off the bench.

I love making jewelry out of silver, gold and other crafts that involve leather, bone and other natural materials. When I can I like to start from scratch by melting the silver or gold down to make my jewelry. I also like using materials I find for other crafts and enjoy working with leather.

I'll explain a few methods I use in creating my jewelry.

Cast pattern rings:

These rings I make using very modern tools. I get an idea an then I make them using 3d software. It takes a lot of work and skill to build nice jewelry in 3d. This process is much like hand carving a wax, but only I'm doing it inside a computer. The next step is to make the wax. The 3d computer file is sent to a machine where it is printed or milled to create the wax. From there the ring is cast and I then clean up each ring and finished them they way you see in the photographs. I believe I can be more free and artistic in creating art by using these modern tools. Nothing I make is mass produced and I make them one by one.

Woven bracelets:

My woven jewelry is made in two different ways:
1. To weave a single piece of wire to give the woven feel. It's kind of like crochet with silver wire. This method requires the wire to be thin and so the weave looks very delicate. It looks great and is perfect for anyone wanting this weave and something delicate at the same time.
2. A true loop in loop method sometimes called Etruscan weave. This method is made by weaving lots of loops together that give it the woven or braided feel to it. The wire is usually thicker and heavier for this method. It's a very beautiful weave and it lasts a long time.

I'll add more methods and ideas to my creations over time. Just check back every now and then. :)

This is a new design. You can really see the detail in this render. The finished product will be in silver, but this color just looked cool and it's easier to see what's happening with this design without all the reflections. :)

Have you ever wondered how the ring looks in wax? This is it. The wax version ready for casting.

This one looks great. I think a partial satin finish on just the knots with shinny shields and edges would look great on this ring.

About

Time will decide

I have a wonderful family, a beautiful wife and three children. We are all in this life's adventure together.

I've always been interested and inspired by Art. I feel that my whole life I have been making things with my hands. My hobbies were destined to be my career, but in the beginning I wasn't always so sure. To tell you the truth I always knew I wanted to do something with Art, but I didn't know what. In time I found jewelry something that was very unique. It never got old because there was always something new. I enjoy coming up with new ideas and bringing a new idea to reality.

What inspires me? Anything beautiful to my eyes. It can be a building, a tree, someone's art, nature, or anything else that brings me joy to look at.

I love to draw patterns. I have a few themes that I've been working on for my jewelry band line. Some are just creative expression while others are more planned out and engineered. The first time I ever started in jewelry was traveling and living in Lao P.D.R. I stared silversmithing and learned a lot about making their traditional jewelry and bowls that are chased with beautiful patterns. When I returned to the USA I continued exploring the jewelry field and eventually got a job working in other metals such as gold and platinum. Over the years I've learned how to repair jewelry, carve waxes, set stones, cast, and much much more. I've always love to hand make jewelry and in 2005 I started to learn CAD (computer aided design).

CAD was a great change. I felt I could be more free and express myself as an artist better. I could create anything I imagined. It's like magic to me. After I get an idea I either sketch it out or jump straight into CAD and design rings.

I do have a day job designing jewelry and doing custom work for a jewelry store, but when I get home at night is when I'm able to create and let my mind think about my business. Kids are in bed and I'm able to focus on my work. I don't always have enough time for creating as I'd like to, but I think that's for every artist. As any artist and business I strive to grow everyday and your support helps me get there. Thank you!

I hope to share my Art with you in a new and interesting way with my ideas. Only time will decide what Art will become. Thank you to all of you who inspire others. :)

I use PayPal and Etsy Direct Checkout for all transactions because it's secure and is easy for all of us to use.

*Custom: I will give you a quote before we get going on any custom projects. Custom projects require payment in full. Once payment is received the project will begin.
Shipping
I send smaller items via USPS and Items will be shipped with insurance. On more expensive items shipping costs will be higher because I use FedEx and it will require a signature when your receive it. This insures that you receive the product and it doesn't get lost at your doorstep. You'll know how much the shipping costs are on any listed item. I also ship only to those confirmed addresses. This insures that you receive your purchased item and avoids any confusion. If you need an exception it's at your own risk. Sending it via FedEx I use home delivery and that usually takes around 4-7 days to receive it. Usually orders will take a total of 3 weeks for me to make it and you to receive it.

If you would like it faster or would like me to ship it a certain way or without a signature then just let me know ahead of time.

I can ship items within 24 to 48 hours (unless it's custom or made to order). If for some reason it takes longer I will notify you.

For any international shipping contact me and I can give you a quote for shipping to your country.
Refunds and Exchanges
I will accept a full refund of my silver designs with in 7 days of the time you receive the item. Items must be in original packaging and not damaged in any way. I reserve the right to not refund any item that has been damaged. If you are planning to send the item back then contact me first so that I can expect the return. I am not responsible for loss of items when returning items and when shipping any item back you should insure it and track it to be safe. * You the buyer are responsible for the cost of return shipping unless it was my mistake then I'm willing to cover the costs. All other items may not be returnable.

If the ring happens to be the wrong size then let me know. We can usually work it out by sizing the ring. It's easier to size up than down because of the pattern. I will size the ring once for free (within the 7 days), but you the buyer are responsible for the shipping. Sizing the ring down isn't always an option because of the pattern and therefore it may have to be remade. If this is the case I can only do this once and remake it for the correct size in exchange for the return of the ring you had purchased. If agreed that this is the only way, production won't start until the return of the purchased ring.

Gold rings are not refundable, but are exchangeable for a different design for similar cost. Contact me if this is what you need.

If you would like to exchange the ring for a different design then let me know and we can work it out if it's within the 7 days after receiving it. I can only do this once.

For custom orders returns may be possible depending on what is being made. Ask me this before you purchase a custom order. Most of the time custom orders are not refundable because they've been made specifically for you and I can't sell them to anyone else.

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I'd be happy to customize an existing ring of mine for you to meet your needs. If it can't be done I can also make a new one just for you. Just ask. :)

Sizing details

My rings have patterns all round them which make them able to be sized up a little without any problems. Sizing down, however, can be a problem with most rings. Some can be done, but not all. Another way might be adding an insert to the inside of the ring in order to make it fit smaller, but that gets rid of any inside patterns. Please ask if you are in doubt and I'll let you know. :)

Care instructions

Taking off your ring during work activities such as hard labor will help your ring stay free from dents and scratches.

If you have a polishing cloth you can rub the ring and shine it.

Don't submerge into chlorine or any other house hold chemicals.

Every now and then take it in to a jewelry store for a cleaning, but be careful to not let them leave it in the ultrasonic very long as it could take out the black background.

Can you do a custom orders just for me?

I am happy to make a custom ring just for you and only you. Give me your ideas, metal choice and any stones you may want in the ring. I can then give you a quote and if agreed upon we can get the custom process started.
