I ordered a custom certificate for my wedding and it is breathtakingly beautiful. Seller worked so closely with me and even overnighted it to my mother so we had it in time for my wedding - it was 100% MY doing that pushed it that late, but the seller was working into the late hours to get it to me in time even though I was the procrastinator. If you are considering this, I can wholeheartedly affirm that it will be the best investment of your wedding. I have had many many guests reach out to me to specifically tell me how incredibly beautiful our "guestbook" was and how much they admired it. My husband was a little uneasy at the cost (we got one similar to the one pictured, about $600) but the moment he saw it, he immediately said it was worth every penny and more. Truly a masterpiece from an expert artist and craftsman.

About

We love.... making your letterpress wedding invitations and marriage certificates!!!

Well, I guess the story goes way... back to the 80's when I (Elecia) was a little girl and fell in love with calligraphy back when I was about seven years old. My art teacher pulled out one of those calligraphy markers and scrolled our names on scraps of paper. I asked , "How do you DO that???" She must have been a very modest woman because her answer was that it was the pen. Can you imagine my disappointment when I urged my Nana to purchase one, and I tried it out?? My sloppy seven year old penmanship, even with my attempts of loops and swirls, just didn't cut it....

Many many many trips to the art supply store and kits upon kits with instructions I had it down early into my double digit years. I addressed envelopes for loved ones parties and scrolled the names of our guests on place cards for holidays.

Calligraphy got pushed to the wayside for many years once it was time to graduate high school. I attended the University of Rhode Island where I majored in Textiles Merchandising & Design, with a minor in Fine Arts. My favorite classes were Color Theory, Color Science and Print Making. All of which I use the skills I learned every single day.

As a little girl, growing up in New England, I vowed I would be a veterinarian, artist and ballet dancer. As an adult in Texas, I am proud that I succeeded in making one of my dreams a reality.

Welcome to my shop, thanks for visiting! Congratulations on your upcoming Wedding or Event. You have come to the right place for your letterpress and calligraphy needs. I am a rare breed; I use both my right and left side of my brain.... I am artistic and creative but also VERY detail orientated. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to etiquette concerns (for envelope addressing)and can help you make that balance between tradition and your personal preferences. I love to do custom work too, so if you don't see a style that you are in love with show me what you have in mind and I will see if I can duplicate it (the only one so far, that I can't do is that architectural look...). Just convo me and we will get the ball rolling!

Payment
I take Paypal, Check (if paid well in advance in time for check to clear) , Cash (if we live close by). I require a $100 deposit to hold your spot on my calendar. Final payment is then due once designs are finalized.

All deposits are non-refundable.
Shipping
We typically ship via Fedex 2 or 3 day shipping.

Because of the high value of the items we ship, we require insurance and signature confirmation. We understand this is not the "easiest" way of doing things, but we want to be sure your bespoke letterpress and calligraphy items end up in your hands. :) When paying please put the correct shipping address in Paypal as we generate our shipping labels there. Many people opt to have their invites shipped directly to their work address (or sometimes their parents), as there is typically someone there to sign for it.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the custom nature of calligraphy and letterpress, I do not offer refunds. If I made a mistake (I triple check my orders before they go out, so this is VERY rare) please just let me know ASAP and I will correct the mistake and ship them back to you (shipping on me of course!). For this reason and if your guest list changes or is added to, I will keep a couple of the extra envelopes, place cards, escort cards etc.

For all invitations it falls under the clients responsibility to check all proofs THOUROUGHLY. We can't stress this enough. Check, check, show your fiancé, show your friend, neighbor, whomever. Once I order the printing plates, no refunds will be given. If you need to change something after I order printing plates, or after I print the shop, I will have to reorder plates, and reprint the job, which will be at cost to the client.

We require any claims made against damage, miscount, etc to be made within 48 hours of acceptance. We know you are dieing to rip into that box anyway, so this shouldn't be an issue! If in the rare chance that the box is very damaged, please do not discard the box as we need that to show the post office in order to make a claim.

This all may sound very scary to you as a bride, groom, parent, or any other valued client we may have, but we assure you we have 100% positive feedback for a reason. We jump through hoops to make YOU happy. And all of these policies help us to do that for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

☞ I saw that the listing states $100 - is that for as many invites as I want?
No. The $100 is simply a deposit. Invite suites and marriage certificates will cost much more than $100. This $100 listing is just to hold a spot on our calendar and to start the design process. Deposits are non-refundable, so please message us with any questions and to get a quote BEFORE purchasing

☞Do you ship to Australia (or Canada, or Japan, or South Africa)?
Yes!! Anywhere that Fedex or UPS goes, we go. About 30% of our business is overseas and we LOVE doing business with people of other cultures! Please note that all price quotes we give are in USD and the client is responsible for any taxes/levies/duties that your country may impose.

☞Do you charge sales tax (USA)?
Yes and no. We only charge sales tax in our home state of Texas.

☞Can you print something I designed?
Yes! We welcome your creativity.

☞Can I get a discount if I design my own invites?
No. While, we love that you are being creative, we have found that many times when we print designs our clients have designed that it ends up taking just as much (if not more) labor on our ends.

☞Are the colors customizable?
Yes! Everything and we mean everything can be changed to suit your needs and personal style.

☞I am a member of the LGBTQ community. Would you be comfortable making our invites (or marriage certificate).
Of course!! We would be absolutely honored to create the invites or marriage certificate of your dreams. We welcome it!

☞How many rounds of proofs are included?
Infinity. Seriously. Unlimited. Free.
We will happily do unlimited amounts of digital proofs for your invites. We will do them M-F. Please allow 24 hours between rounds of proofs.
