About

Original wheel thrown and slab built pottery

Hi, my name is Danuta and I love working with clay!

I have more ideas than I'll ever have time to create my visions. I love collaborating with clients and creating something unique and custom for their specific environment. As I go forward and the ideas become less tied up with my own situation, my goal is to keep doing work that means something to me. Making an idea into a good sculpture or pot is a whole learning trajectory in itself, and I enjoy every step of the journey.

My source of inspiration is my endless fascination with the beauty of butterflies, trees, leaves, water, flowers and all of nature. I live in a small unincorporated area surrounded by woods and a creek. I have always been a nature lover and hiker. All of the photos taken outdoors are staged in my yard...I feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful setting.

I really enjoy making each and every one of my pieces. Everyday I wake with the excitement of creating something beautiful. I hope that my art will become a treasured part of your home.

I have been painting and drawing since I was a child. I loved exploring all forms of art and eventually stumbled upon pottery. I love the entire process, working with wet clay, glazing and the anticipation of the finished product.

Additional policies and FAQs
Handmade art is the exact opposite of machine made goods. While I take great care in working with clay and porcelain, there will be anomalies in some of the pieces. The slight variations in glaze application and firing outcome. But if you find something you do not like, contact me and I will try to accommodate your request.

Due to the nature of photography and on-line display there will be slight variations in color between what you see on the screen and what you see when you open the box.
