My name is Dany Baumberger Chaput. I live and paint in Provence, in the South of France. My style is abstract and very intuitive.

I love painting, I love colors, I love life! I am a great optimist and a great dreamer. And it is this energy that I wish to share with you through my paintings.

I find most of my inspiration from the people I love and in the nature that surrounds me but I am especially fascinated by the sky and the sea.
I love walking around and discovering new places, nature is so fantastic and so generous! It makes me feel good, it rejuvenates me, it animates me. Very changeable according to the seasons or the time it is, it never ceases to amaze me.

Once in front of my canvas, I let myself be carried away, guided by a desire, an emotion or simply by the moment. Sometimes I start by scribbling or writing a few inspiring words, often without knowing yet at this stage what I am going to paint but it is nothing, I then add the first colors in successive layers and, with a lot of patience and as soon as I no longer master anything, the magic is not very far away...
I paint mainly with acrylic, with juices that I make myself, ink, with pastels, pencils, felts, often on canvas mounted on frame, on wood or on art paper.
I use all kinds of tools to paint: brushes, painting knives but also my fingers, kitchen or DIY utensils, a sponge, paper, packaging film, and it is not uncommon for me to use a pebble, herbs and twigs collected during a walk... everything is conducive to creating new effects by letting creativity express itself!

Nature is beautiful and I try to transcribe it in my own way with my brushes, my palette knives and my colors.
I use different mediums like oil, acrylic, pastel, ink, on canvas or art paper.

Mon nom est Dany Baumberger Chaput. Je vis et peins en Provence, dans le Sud de la France. Mon style est abstrait et très intuitif.

J'adore peindre, j'adore les couleurs, j'adore la vie ! Je suis une grande optimiste et une grande rêveuse. Et c'est cette énergie que je souhaite vous partager à travers mes peintures.

Je trouve l'essentiel de mon inspiration auprès des gens que j'aime et dans la nature qui m'entoure mais je suis surtout fascinée par le ciel et la mer.
J'adore me balader et découvrir de nouveaux endroits, la nature est si fantastique et si généreuse ! Elle me fait du bien, elle me ressource, elle m'anime. Très changeante en fonction des saisons ou de l'heure qu'il est, elle ne cesse de m'émerveiller.

Une fois devant ma toile, je me laisse porter, guidée par une envie, une émotion ou tout simplement par l'instant. Il m'arrive parfois de commencer par gribouiller ou d'écrire quelques mots inspirants, souvent sans savoir encore à ce stade ce que je vais peindre mais ce n'est rien, j'ajoute alors les premières couleurs par couches successives et, avec beaucoup de patience et dès lors que je ne maîtrise plus rien, la magie n'est plus très loin...
Je peins essentiellement à l'acrylique, avec des jus que je fabrique moi-même, de l'encre, avec des pastels, des crayons, des feutres, souvent sur toile tendue sur châssis, sur bois ou sur papier d'art.
J'utilise toutes sortes d'outils pour peindre : des pinceaux, des couteaux à peindre mais aussi mes doigts, des ustensiles de cuisine ou de bricolage, une éponge, du papier, du film d'emballage, et il n'est pas rare que j'utilise un galet, des herbes et des brindilles ramassés pendant une promenade. tout est propice à créer de nouveaux effets en laissant la créativité s'exprimer !
