Privacy Policy

Dapper Fellas is a owner-operated sub-micro-business with no grand desire to take the vintage or handmade market by storm. My only goal is to find wonderful items and sell them to delighted buyers at home or abroad. Since the EU rocked the online world with their new privacy laws we’ve all had to scramble to comply. This is my first attempt at crafting a privacy policy to meet my legal requirements if I’m to continue selling outside of the USA; I’ll probably need to tweak it again later.

Regarding your privacy, email and otherwise… this is what happens at my place after you click a buy button at my store. First I get a notice of your order and do a happy dance :-) Next up is finding and packaging your order. Then I log into my Etsy account to fulfill your order. I need certain personal information that you’ve provided Etsy, such as your name and a correct shipping address. An email address is often necessary to contact you regarding questions about the purchase and sometimes to complete the shipping form. I purchase the shipping label and pay postage while on the Etsy website; no third party shipping for me. That’s about it; simple, right? Once a day I run packages to my local post office and catch a few Pokemon while I’m there. The transaction is complete for me; I’m happy knowing that you’ll soon receive your order and be as thrilled as I was when I found that treasure.

Once the transaction has been completed as far as I’m concerned I’m finished and have moved on to something else. Having 4 different Etsy stores and a website as well as selling on eBay while managing a busy life in the real world I’m rather busy tending my own business without poking and prying into yours.

Your information is saved in my Etsy records only on the website. I don’t keep duplicate copies of shipping addresses or packing slips with email information- any info I need for legal or tax purposes is safely stored within my Etsy store on their website. Any financial information regarding the sale in only saved on Etsy and I don’t have access to any personal details. I don’t maintain an active mailing list, use personal information for marketing purposes and/or share your information with ANY third parties to my knowledge. Etsy does set & track cookies; you’ll need to check their privacy policy for details of their use. If you receive notices about items you’ve viewed or favorited, that’s Etsy’s automated cookies at work, not something I’ve initiated.

Google analytics is set up in my shop to track traffic, item views and other activity within my shop. I don’t have access to anyone’s private information within that app (nor do I want ANY personal information) but Google might; you’ll need to check THEIR privacy policy.

USPS may keep your email if it’s required to be on the custom form. Guess what? Yes, you’ll need to check THEIR privacy policy if that’s a concern for you.

My bottom line is simple; I like my privacy and I respect yours as well. If you have ANY concerns about how I’m handling your information PLEASE contact me. Either send me a convo OR use my private contact info that is visible to EU shoppers (which is actually sorta weird too if we’re talking privacy but that’s a whole different subject, isn’t it?)
