I'm really grateful the seller offers package deals like this since it was too hard to choose. Makes trying the product for the first time easier, too, since I can try a lot at once to sample.
Love the sample bottles. Makes it so easy to store and test product.
Excellent quality. This primer really grabs and holds my indie shadows, letting me show off the colors with gorgeous clarity. My one tiny gripe is that it creases, but I have somewhat oily eyelids and require a little extra prep. I'd definitely buy again!

I love this color. It's a very subtly rosy yellow with a slight metallic sheen. Great service, too!

Additional policies and FAQs
1. Are your products vegan?
-Yes. I do not use carmine or other animal derived ingredients in my products.
2. How do you get red based shades without carmine?
-I use either red-toned oxides or FD&C dyes.
3. Do you make your own products?
-Yes. I do not repackage. I take micas, uncut pigments, and additional base ingredients, mixing and grinding them until I create a shade that fits with my line's image. All of my eyeshadows have base ingredients added, they are not straight unadulterated micas. Because each shade is developed by me, it may be a few months before the next series (aka "Clusters") of shades are released. Formulating is a time consuming process, especially for those who hand blend each shade.
4. How do you prepare your eyeshadows?
-All products are made in sanitary conditions. I wear a face mask, hair mask, and disposable gloves to prevent contamination. The work area and tools are cleaned with disinfectant before and after each batch is prepared.
5. Do you do everything by yourself?
-Yes. As of the present time, I run Dark Matter solo. This means I create, pack, ship and converse as a one woman project. But what does this mean to you? It means you get the personal benefits of being able to work with the owner. If you have questions or suggestions, I am always open to chat.
6. Can you use the eyeshadows in other makeup?
-Yes. You may use Dark Matter shadows in nail polish. Unfortunately, almost every shade contains pigments that are not lip safe and cannot be used in that manner.
7. Will you carry neon eyeshadows in the future?
-No. Dark Matter will not carry neon/UV eyeshadows. And the reason is this. As of now, there currently is no FDA approved neon colorants for use on the eyes. This incudes UV, glow in the dark, and fluorescent neons. These pigments are intended to be used in soap and other limited items. These pigments are known to cause irritation and, in some cases, severe injury when used in the eye area.
The FDA states that there are currently 8 fluorescent shades approved for limited cosmetic use. And none of these shades are okay for eye use. They are: D&C Orange No. 5, No. 10, and No. 11; D&C Red No. 21, No. 22, No. 27 and No. 28; and D&C Yellow No. 7.
I realize that I am in no position to tell others what they can and cannot put on their face, these choices are up to each individual. And while I understand that these pigments are approved in other countries, since Dark Matter is based in the USA I must respect the guidelines set forth by the FDA, regardless of what is approved abroad.
*Please note that neon pigments for eye use is approved in the UK, so you may be able to find these types of colors in companies based there, which is legal under their own laws.*
