About

Fine Art photographer wandering through Asia

I am a self-taught fine art photographer traveling around the world, currently wandering around Asia.

I initially studied French literature and linguistic in Sorbonne University, Paris and taught French in Norway and Burma before focusing completely on photography and writing as a nomad artist.

**************************************************************************************

My Fine Art works, which can be found on my website www.retreatindelusion.com and on numerous magazines and webzines, aim at expressing the esthetics of wanderings, both physical, metaphysical and psychological. Humans are there always anonymous, and their contours, sometimes indistinct, sometimes brutal, question the ontological relation bounding humans to the world : the ambiguity of their existence and experiences and, particularly, the relativity of their perceptions, which is the source of all definitions which, thus, have to be rejected to embrace the state of suspension between knowledge, ignorance, and questioning; individual being and general non-being.

I try to convey this paradoxical state of mind where the mind is transcended in the quest for non-being, where the enthusiasm generated by non dualism converge with the peace that is related to the acceptation of phenomenons as they are, without any mental filter.

From problematic states of existence, sometimes obvious, sometimes more diffuse, emerge a questioning, but rather than seeking for an answer, it is the understanding that it is the questioning itself, and not the comforting illusion of an answer, that matters. Once ignorance is embraced, everything can re-emerge in a new light.

On Etsy I present for sale some of my Fine art prints in limited editions and open edition, as well as exclusive abstract and landscape photography.

As I am currently traveling, my photographs are printed on professional high quality paper and sent by professional photo laboratories located in France, the US and China. This allows a faster shipping with lower fees, as well as less risks of damages.
The Parisian lab will print for all Europe, The American for the United States and Canada, and the Chinese lab will take care of orders towards China, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan, as well as the rest of Asia in some occasions.

CUSTOM LISTINGS FOR COMPLICATED ORDERS:
If you are purchasing a variety of items, such as small prints combined with large prints, or combined with iPhone cases, I recommend that you request a custom order so that I can calculate the shipping more accurately and create a custom listing for you. Etsy calculates the shipping automatically when you add items to your cart, but sometimes you will be overcharged or undercharged when combining items. If you purchase multiple items without a custom order and the shipping cost is not accurate, I will contact you.
