This “class” starting with no intro to the process, ingredients, terminology, what steps had already been completed or what we we going to be that afternoon. Instead we spent the first 25 minutes by launching right into strike temperature. An assistant let the mash boil over a tiny bit and the instructor became very upset and and we then discussed tossing everything and starting again. One person suggested that at the end of the day, we are still making beer and we should not sweat it too much. He was admonished for offering a very reasonable suggestion. The course description said we would be enjoying some beer as we learned all grain brewing. We were told at the beginning that he could not serve beer as it was a farm? I left after about 30 minutes, 30 minutes that I could have better spent at Thimble Island brewery.

After my second purchase with this shop I can confirm that the quality of their hops pellets are superior to others available both here on Etsy, and eBay. I have tried several brands recently and this shop has had the best quality in terms of aromatics, uniform shape, and potency. Other brands have been more pale or crumbly and seemed made with inferior leftovers, or less potent due to being improperly stored; but these are as-pictured, and are clearly made with a better, fresher raw material. On top of that, their customer service & shipping have been prompt, personal, and above-and-beyond. I will not hesitate to purchase from them in the future... 10/10 recommended.
