About

Wearable Art Inspired by New Beginnings and the Natural World

The story of Dea Dia begins with my penchant for wanderlust and inability to stay in any one city or career path for too long. Something was missing, and it was not until I picked up a set of jewelry tools and supplies on a whim that I realized my true calling in life. Creating wearable art and working with my hands was a revelation and the missing piece I had been looking for in my journeys. True to my initial impulse to follow my instincts, my creative process remains organic and intuitive. Inspiration strikes in a flash, and my talent is being able to take that spark and realize it in compelling forms. Every Dea Dia product is handcrafted in our studio in Portland, Oregon. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to small-scale, localized production practices and creating meaningful relationships with our retailers and customers.

Founded by artist Jessica Lawson in Brooklyn in 2011, Dea Dia Jewelry is designed and manufactured in Portland, Oregon. Dea Dia creates simple, organic designs that make a big statement and can be worn every day for years on end. Each and every piece is made by hand or cast from an original wax carving made by Jessica Lawson. Locally produced using materials like brass, bronze, sterling silver, raw gemstones, glass and trade beads as well as vintage and salvaged materials. We bring these elements together to create challenging, distinct, limited-edition and one-of-a-kind jewelry.
Named for myths, mountains, rivers and tools of exploration, Dea Dia Jewelry speaks to those who prize discovery as well as beauty. Whatever the journey, Dea Dia is jewelry made for your life’s greatest adventures.

Every Dea Dia product is handcrafted in our studio in Portland, Oregon. As we continue to grow, we remain committed to small-scale, localized production practices and creating meaningful relationships with our retailers and customers.

Dea Dia uses raw stones and unfinished brass to create a powerful aesthetic that is affordable and accessible to a wide variety of wearers. Hand-selected salvage and vintage metals combined with natural minerals and crystals are the foundation of our style. We make extensive use of raw, unpolished brass, which develops a patina over time as it is worn, giving each piece a unique character. Raw stones and crystals collected during trips adventuring across the country further add to the unique story of each piece. We bring these elements together to create challenging, distinct, limited-edition and one-of-a-kind jewelry.

I'm sorry that I cannot accept returns on orders simply because an item isn't what you expected. Each item is made to order especially for you! I try my best to take great photos and give accurate descriptions of my products. Additional policies and FAQs
Please message me for bulk and custom orders.

I am also taking wholesale orders. Please convo me or write to me at jessica [!at] deadiajewelry.com

Also, note that I mainly use unfinished/raw brass chain. That means that the color will change/ grow less shiny/develop a patina over time. I recommend that you do not shower or bath with any brass pieces.
