This ring looked very nice in the picture but the picture did not do it justice. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and won't hesitate to purchase from Tin and Teak in the future!

About

A never ending treasure map

Tin and Teak began as a good excuse to go antiquing. After growing up around antiques, and working in an antique mall for several years, I simply couldn't keep all the amazing treasures I had found. A love affair with Etsy blossomed into a new little business, and an outlet for an obsession with all things old.
Three years later I have quit my day job to dive head-on into the vintage marketplace I love so dearly.
Tin and Teak is a fresh new name to celebrate the beginning of this journey.
Stemming from the playfulness of tin and the lusciousness of teak, Tin and Teak represents my love for the quirky and finely crafted traits found only in vintage treasures.
Tin and Teak started as an eclectic mix of all things old, but has quickly narrowed to focus on my truest love (don't tell my partner) Jewelry.

I have over 10 years in the industry learning every little bit that I can about jewelry. I find the evolution of adornment enchanting.
As a desert gal I have a deep and everlasting love of turquoise, and no matter what path I take with my shop you will always find a bit of it there, but my favorite era of jewelry is Art Deco. Those clean geometric lines and contrasting colors just make me swoon.

I studied Photography at California College of the Arts, and knew there that I needed to pursue something that would indulge my thirst for beauty and craft. There's just nothing better than something beautifully and skillfully made!

I hope you enjoy the little bit of beauty I can share with you.

I am always on the hunt (it's the best part!) so please reach out if you are looking for something in particular.

The customer must pay off the remainder over three months in a monthly payment program.

All layaways are *non-refundable*. If the customer decides they do not want the item the down payment becomes store credit.

You will have -one week- after a missed payment to get in touch with me. After this week your layaway will be void and your down payment will become store credit.

Please note, there are no returns on items purchased through layaway.

How do I care for my antique jewelry?

#1 Rule for Antique jewelry- Don't get it wet! Take your jewelry off before washing your hands or bathing. This is especially important for porous stones such as Turquoise, Pearl and Coral as well as Foil-backed Georgian Jewelry.

Skin and hair care products, makeup and lotion can all have an effect on antique jewelry. Please use caution.

Antique Jewelry can be delicate, we recommend having your jewelry cleaned by a professional who is familiar with antiques.

Having a safe place to store your jewelry where it will not be bumping and rubbing against other jewelry is always recommended.

I want to polish my item, can I still return it?

Polishing or otherwise affecting an item will void its return.
The patina on these one-of-a-kind antique pieces is considered part of its history and as a result an item is often devalued by polishing.
