Quote Necklaces, Handmade with Love.

Like a lot of kids, I grew up making things out of old shoeboxes, scraps of paper and random odds and ends. I especially loved creating little bracelets for my friends. I continued making jewellery right through high school, then while I was at uni I began embellishing singlets and cuffs with sequins, beads, buttons, lace and ribbon. I fantasised about selling my creations at local markets, but the idea of an earning an income from making things seemed pretty far-fetched and silly.

It wasn’t until I discovered the handmade community, blog world and Etsy during my last semester of uni, in 2009, that I realised that indeed you could. There were people making a legitimate living off making stuff. Handmade was a movement! I began toying with the idea of opening my own shop but things kept getting in the way...

Then in August 2011 my partner, Reuben and I, left our apartment and gave up our "respectable" jobs in Sydney (Australia) in pursuit of a simpler, more mindful, more beautiful life in country Victoria. We now live simply, growing vegetables, keeping chickens and raising our son. I began making jewellery again and launched my Etsy shop in May 2013.

I am inspired by wonderful quotes, the beauty of eras gone by, nature and simple, mindful living. All of my creations are handmade with great care and attention to detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by my store! Have a lovely, lovely day.

Returns and exchanges
It is very important to me that each and every one of my customer's is happy with their experience at my shop. If for any reason you are not pleased with your purchase, please contact me so that we can sort something out. I cannot, however, accept responsibility for repaying postage. Shipping fees will not be refunded.
I accept payment through Paypal, credit cards and Etsy gift cards.
Please note I am located in Australia. Australian purchases normally arrive within a week of being posted, while shipping to the rest of the world usually takes 2-3 weeks (though occasionally takes longer). I post all items within 5 working days of purchase, excluding weekends and public holidays.

Please note my shipping prices are for standard shipping only. No tracking or insurance is included. If you wish to purchase tracked and insured post (which is much more expensive) please let me know prior to making your purchase.

All items are shipped in either a bubble mailer envelope or a small cardboard box. I post flat items overseas as "letters" in bubble mailer envelopes for $3. Items which are too big to go in a bubble mailer are packed in small boxes and shipped as parcels. All customs and additional fees that may be incurred are the responsibility of the buyer.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember each item in my shop is handcrafted and one of a kind. I use a clunky old 1960s typewriter to type the quotes in all my jewellery. The little variances in the text, that come from working with such an old machine, make every piece ever so slightly different. This means each creation is a unique one off! I believe it's the tiny smudges, flaws and differences that make handmade items special.

My jewellery is not water resistant so please do not wear it in the shower or swimming. Many pieces contain small parts and glass, making them unsuitable for small children.
