About

Successful Merger ; )

If an eclectic visual/performing artist/designer and writer from an eclectic cultural background is a good combination, then I'm probably a successful merger. My name is Debora Grace and Arthaus:Detroit is the design house I helm. Through Arthaus:Detroit, I offer services: CONSULTING, STYLING and CURATING DISPLAYS, EXHIBITS and MAKEOVERS, managing EVENT DESIGN & PLANNING, hosting WORKSHOPS and CLASSES (see below). Contact me at graceis [!at] yahoo.com to inquire about these services. Via Etsy, and local retail and exhibits, I offer goods: art, prints, jewelry, accessories, and collectibles.

THIS SHOP features crosses and art collectibles for home/office/studio.

MY OTHER SHOP for accessories & customized jewelry:
Etsy.com/shop/PatchouliGems (not case sensitive)

MY OTHER SHOP for stationery & limited edition prints:
Etsy.com/shop/PalomaAzul (not case sensitive)

By the way, Arthaus:Detroit is hosts art and therapy workshops, adult paint-n-pour-style events, and group, drop-in and private classes. Next up on the agenda is summer break KIDS CAMP. COME CHECK US OUT IN PERSON: http://rgz1123.wix.com/arthauskids

Art genes run in the family. My husband and father are artists and all of my children are artists as well. It was when one of my daughters died that I obeyed a quiet voice of inspiration to create this Etsy space. It helps me maintain my connection to her and follow the muses we share.

Let me know the destination or purpose for the item you buy, and I just might send you a thank you treat.

THANKS FOR VISITING!

  • Debora Grace

    Shop Owner/Member

Debora Grace tinkers in creative expression through wide variety of arts and design. Her favorite visual mediums are watercolor and mixed media collage. For Debora Grace, creative expression is a natural extension of self that becomes commentary, exploration, pilgrimage, meditation, therapy and celebration. Debora Grace presents seasonal and summer art workshops for kids and adults on glass and paper mosaics, illustration, printmaking, creative journaling, and healing arts.

  • Zoe Madalena

    Shop Member

Zoe is primarily a self-taught artist and stylist, with, among other strengths, a great color sense for visual art. It's in her genes. In 2012, she was recognized as the youngest artist ever to have work accepted in a Detroit Scarab Club exhibit. You'll love her sweet and unpretentious images.

  • Maya

    Shop Contributor

Maya's work was awarded honorable mention by Balthazar Korab, a principal photographer of Frank Lloyd Wright, for her arresting art photography. A creative polymath of sorts, she undoubtedly is known for her “beautiful eye.”

  • Eno Laget

    Shop Member

Eno has an eclectic background in art and design. His professional career of more than 30 years includes commercial interior and exterior design, fine art printmaking, newspaper and TV illustration, courtroom drawing, news design and assorted art mischief. He has been awarded for his work and can be read about in Canvas Detroit (Pincus & Christian, 2014), recipient of a gold award in the 2015 Independent Publisher Book Awards. His most recent daytime gig, was as senior design director at a major metropolitan newspaper...but, of course, not under this pseudonym. ; )

Shop policies

Thank you for visiting Debora Grace of Arthaus:Detroit. You'll notice that some of my pieces are -- like my themed jewelry -- meant to be personalized, so you can feel free to send me any questions regarding special requests/commissions and color customization. Keep in mind that I produce artisan work, most of it made to order, and so items can differ slightly from photos in listings.

I love to see my pieces adopted into new homes. I also love to hear how and where they are used. Let me know, and I just might send you a thank you treat!

I want you to enjoy everything I enjoy making for you. So if your item arrives damaged, I'm here to help. Please see details below.

Accepted payment methods

Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
LOSS AND DAMAGES: Each work will be packaged and shipped in good condition. I cannot be held responsible for loss or damages that may occur during shipping, however I do have a refund policy.

REFUND POLICY: When you agree to make a purchase, you agree to accept the work as is. No exchanges. BUT, refunds can be made under one condition: Refunds can be made only in the case of loss or damage that is acknowledged by the U. S. Postal Service AND covered by USPS insurance (for customers who request and pay for Postal Insurance & Return Receipt for Merchandise, and will provide Debora Grace a copy of the USPS written acknowledgment of loss or damage).

EXCHANGES: Unless otherwise specified, an exchange can be negotiated if you request it. If no exchange is requested, Debora Grace processes the returned damaged item as a refund. An exchange item must of of equal or lesser value. Of course, if more than one of your item is available for purchase, you can request an exchange for replacement of the same item (keeping in mind that the unique nature of our work makes no two pieces exactly identical).
Payment
The terms for payment are reasonable. I do accept PayPal. Each work is sold as is, though exceptions are often made for custom commissions, personalizations and inscriptions.
Shipping
I ship my work via USPS and will do combined shipping in some cases (when reasonably possible), but reserve the right to ship items singly. Shipping is typically included as part of my price (unless otherwise indicated). An order will be canceled if payment for it is not received within seven days (from date of order).
Additional policies and FAQs
Many of the works are mixed media. You're welcome to ask questions about any of them, but I do reserve the right to not reveal every itty itty bitty detail of technique...a creator has a right to some mystery ; )

I love to see my pieces adopted into new homes. And I love to hear how and where they are used. Let me know, and I just might send you a thank you treat!
