About the artist..

Most of the glass rods that I use to create the beads are imported from Italy and Germany. There is also some really really beautiful glass now being manufactured in the States as well that I use sparingly, since it's rather expensive.
The beads are wound and designed on a stainless steel mandrel, then carefully annealed and cleaned before being crafted into a piece of jewelry.

I love to incorporate surprise elements. I prefer asymmetrical design, yet strive to achieve pleasing balance using color theory and texture. I like a sense of movement and each piece usually has some feature that can be played with...rolled back and forth, a swinging length of chain or wrapped charm... a sort of talisman for you throughout your day. Love of family and roots run deep and influence much of what is created in the studio. My journey has taken me to new and exotic places throughout the world and my work has evolved with me.
Familial elements are core and you will continue to see my Sweetwater roots in some shape or element of my work.

My husband and I lived wholly abroad for several years, both in Israel and in Qatar. We now have a home base in Texas with an apartment in Turkey, and we travel back to the States and Canada when we need a sort of 'reset' to our own cultures.
While overseas we've been blessed to see several parts of Europe I had only dreamt of visiting.
These wonderful adventures infuse and color my work. The glass reflects the beauty and peace and happiness that is my life right now.

I hope to always be evolving, creating and sharing the beauty and wonder of glass..

You can find my handmade jewelry at this gallery on Vancouver Island, as well as here on Etsy! Thanks you for your interest. ~♡

Thank you for taking the time to stop in and browse my shop. My flame worked beads and jewelry live happily throughout the world as I have sold countless sets of loose beads to other designers as well as completed jewelry though galleries and shops in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada.

All work is lovingly made by me in my little sunny studio here in Qatar where we will be stationed for a couple of years.
I am an SRA member [Self-Representing Artist G30] which means that I am a staff of one.
The beads are properly inspected, properly annealed and properly cleaned by me.
