About Wunder Lab

Wunder Lab is a creative lab specialized in alternative wedding dresses and costumes, based in Milano.

Our work starts from the fashion sketch and finishes with the completed dress! We love to follow all the steps, take care of every detail,  work on special projects, inventing and bringing to life new unique garments. 

INSPIRATION: our starting point grows from the Victorian era, on top of which the more diverse inspirations intersect and often cross out the original style marks. 
We're attracted to dark and gothic fascinations, the decaying rockstar cliche, Alice in Wonderland and retro cartoons, pictorial art, pre-contemporary literature, vintage and retro mood, the momentary and short-lived inspiration caused by a random glimpse or object.

ETHICS: we do NOT use leather, fur or any animal-derived fabric - not even food industry scraps.
None of our products is produced or manufactured through low-cost or external manpower - everything is entirely hand made in our Milano laboratory.

Returns and exchange details
First of all, for any kind of problem please contact us, we are at your disposal to fix any issue in the best way! This said, we work mainly on custom orders, made to measure on client's measurements and most of the time with custom variation on the original dress design, and this why we can't accept returns.

If you receive your dress and it has an error of our part, you can ship the dress back to us, we will fix the problem and then send back to you. WE CAN'T ACCEPT RETURNS IN ANY CASE IF THE ITEM HAS BEEN WORN
Payment
You can choose to make a full payment of the dress or pay just the DEPOSIT to reserve the spot for the realization of your dress and pay the remaining due at a later time. We work on reservations and we can realize only a limited amount of couture dresses in a year, so the deposit refundable only if you ask to cancel the order within 3 days. We are always happy to help and fix any issue so feel free to contact us in case of doubts and questions about payment.

SHIPPING POLICY

-HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COSTS AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

All our couture dresses are handmade by us in our lab in Milano, or with the help of local seamstresses. We have an easy fixed price shipping policies:

COUTURE DRESSES

-Shipping to Europe 19.90 - 5/7 working days

-Shipping to US 29.90 - 7/10 working days

Consider that shipping does not includes only courier costs, you'll receive a beautiful package with the dress packed in his garment bag to protect it and all the corsets are shipped in their own tote bag.

For any other item we have different shipping costs that you can see in the details of every listing.

HOW DOES ORDERING WORK FOR WEDDING DRESSES?

All our wedding dresses are realized custom fit on the client's measurements so you just have to choose the dress you prefer and once payment is received we'll send you our measurements form. We can agree together the estimated delivery date depending on your deadline. We like to keep in touch with our clients so even if you bought the dress with some months in advance we will contact you from time to time to give some updates and We will keep you updated during all the creating process

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY ORDER?

If you don't have a specific deadline consider at least 6 weeks to receive your order. If you need to receive it earlier or by a specific deadline you just have to tell us and we'll schedule a workflow to guarantee the delivery in time.

MY WEDDING IS IN 8 MONTHS, WHEN I HAVE TO PLACE THE ORDER?

Since we have limited spots for the creation of wedding dresses we always suggest to place the order with large advance, in this way we'll reserve the spot for the realization of your dress and you'll be sure to have it realized and delivered in time.

OK I CAN PLACE THE ORDER NOW BUT IN 8 MONTHS I'M PLANNING TO LOSE WEIGHT, HOW CAN WE MANAGE IT?

We are familiar with this kind of requests so what we usually do is to ask for the updated measurements just before start working on the dress, usually 2-3 months before the wedding/event.

HOW DOES CORSETS AND BODICES FITTING WORK?

We realize corsets and bodices one size down your natural size. This because corsets have to be smaller than natural measurements, in this way you have the chance to adjust the fitting using the back lacing. It is normal to have a little gap on the back, this is why all our corsets and bodices comes with a modesty panel. Usually we had some extra reduction on the waist to enhance the silhouette, called waist reduction.

WHAT IS WAIST REDUCTION?

We usually reduce the waistline measurements a little more than other measurements, expecially on corsets. In this way we can enhance the waistline and give a beautiful hourglass silhouette. This is something we agree with the client depending on how much she's used to corsets and waist reduction.

DO YOU GUARANTEE A GOOD FITTING?

All the Couture dresses are realized using the measurements provided by you so it is important that they are the most accurate possible. Consider that after the order is placed we'll send you our measurements form where we explain the necessary measurements and how to take them correctly. This said, usually our clients are happy and dresses fits perfectly but due to the inability of doing a fitting you have to take account that minor alterations taken by a local seamstress could be necessary.

WHAT ABOUT REGULAR DRESSES AND SKIRT?

For dresses and skirts we don't offer the made to measure option, you just have to choose the right size for you looking at the sizing chart.

CAN I CANCEL MY ORDER?

Yes it is possible within 3 days after the order has been placed.

CAN I RETURN AN ORDER?

We can't accept return on dresses realized on custom measurements or custom designs. If you have any issue with our dresses please contact us and we'll be glad to find a way to fix the problem. If the dress has an error due to our part we will replace it or have the dress back at our expenses to have it fixed. For all the other items -dresses and skirts on size, mugs and all the other accessories, we have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
