Frequently asked questions

Care instructions

CLEANING:
All headpieces are made from natural fiber feathers. The feathers can be wiped cleaned using a soft, dry cloth or a natural-bristled artist's brush. Make sure to follow the natural direction of the plumage to softly brush away dust. Never brush against the natural grain or growth of a feather and take care not to break the quill with too much pressure.

PRESERVATION:
Store your headpiece away from dust, moisture and bright light. While feathers may seem to be waterproof, it is only the secretions from certain glands on live birds that keep the feathers coated with oils. If this oil is removed by washing, dust collection, etc., they begin to lose their suppleness and deteriorate. Feathers survive the longest in temperatures of 60
