Vintage = History + Charm

The Delightful Dressmaker is a lifelong lover of all things old and lovely, especially textiles. (I'm a sucker for anything embroidered.) Having hoarded linens, vintage clothes, and all things sewing-related for many years, now I am pleased to offer them to you.
My background is in the history of art--textiles--clothing, and I have tried almost every form of needlework at one time or another...

If you have any questions about our items or policies, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for visiting!

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Paypal is accepted for all payments and is due at time of purchase.
Please check the shop announcement in case there may be a shipping delay.

We can often ship the next day after purchase (weekends excepted). Most items are sent via USPS First Class Mail, and we use recycled packaging when possible.

Excess shipping costs will be happily refunded if the difference between estimated and real postage is two dollars or more. And of course we will be happy to combine shipping when possible.

For international purchases, it is the responsibility of the buyer to know what is or is not permitted for shipping to the destination country. International customers will be responsible for any customs or duty charges, and should be aware that packages may take as long as one month to arrive.
Refunds and Exchanges
Due to the random nature of vintage items, returns are not generally accepted. However, we wish for everyone to be delighted! If you are not happy with a purchase, please discuss that with us so that we may remedy the situation.
Additional policies and FAQs
Please remember that vintage items are not new and often not perfect, and that they have had a long (and, hopefully, interesting!) life of their own before they entered ours.

Most importantly, enjoy!
