About

Eco-Friendly Design: Dream-Worthy Art

In the summer of 2012, Delirious Blue Jewelry was crafted from the desire to design eco-friendly jewelry, the dedication to pursue my dreams, and a little bit of love. The name comes from the first poem I took a liking to as a child, and as my love of literature often intersects with my work, I found it quite fitting.

“I’ve chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long delirious, burning blue,
I’ve topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew”

I, too, reach for that long delirious blue, reaching toward that which seems dreamy and slightly out of reach. In my design and in my business, I am inspired to “reach for the skies” and make beauty from the unseen and unused.

In my bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and rings, I like to use materials that might often be thrown out, such as wine corks, bottle caps, bike inner tubes, used guitar strings, old game pieces, and paper. I also enjoy working with metal that is 100% recycled or eco-friendly. This eco-friendly concept is incorporated into every aspect that I can—including my 100% recycled paper business cards, upcycled and refurbished art show displays, and handmade paper boxes. I believe that we can all do our part to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Designing and making eco-friendly jewelry is more than just my after-work job. It's an art in which I constantly try to improve at, learn about, and be inspired by.

Shipping
**CHRISTMAS ORDERS** Please order by December 15 for delivery by Christmas delivery for first class shipping. You can pay for priority shipping and order by December 19 for all non-custom items.

PLEASE note: I ship orders through USPS according to their holiday cut-off dates. More often than not, you'll receive your item in time for the holiday. In the case that something happens that is USPS's fault, and thus out of my control, I cannot provide refunds, etc. It's frustrating to wait in anticipation if your gift will arrive, so please order early!

The shipping price covers the cost of shipping and packaging. I keep my shipping prices as low as possible to accommodate you.

Each item (except for the bracelets) comes in a handmade box made from recycled paper (old sheet music, magazine pages, book pages, etc.) and is shipped in a bubble envelope.

All premade items will be shipped within 1-3 days of the order. Custom orders take 1-2 weeks depending on the project. If you need an item by a certain date, please send me a message prior to purchasing to see if I can accommodate you.

For shipping safety, large orders may arrive in multiple packages.
Refunds and Exchanges
Please make sure that you use the correct address when ordering. I ship through Etsy, so it will pull whatever address you have on file. If a package is returned to me (by the post office) due to an incorrect address, I'm happy to resend with an extra shipping charge (since I will have to pay to send it out again). Or, I can issue a refund for the price of the product (but not the shipping) through PayPal. If/when I receive the package from the post office, I will contact you to see what you would like to do.

If you have an specific reasons that you are not satisfied with your purchase, please feel free to contact me right away, and we can work it out. Thank you.
