I love this beautiful necklace and earrings. It is even more stunning than the photo! The combination of lapis and sterling silver made this necklace heavier than most. Diana took care to secure with extra bubble wrap to ensure its safe arrival and even included a jewelry cloth to polish the silver. Pricey = yes. Worth it = absolutely! First class shop, you cannot go wrong purchasing from Desert Pond Studios.

This was purchased as a gift for a very sick relative. It was so beautifully packaged that I didn't unwrap to look at it, just forwarded it on. I purchased it not to be worn, but perhaps wrapped around a doorknob, for hope. I have purchased from this shop before and I know how much Diana puts into her creations. Highly recommend Diana and DesertPondStudios.

About

My Southwestern Desert Pond

Upon retirement from the technology industry, I stepped into the full time responsibility of caring for my elderly mother. I loved caring for her. We would set on the back deck overlooking a small fish pond that my grandsons had dug out years ago. Mom and I would be so excited to see the “bird of the day” flitter up to the edge of the pond to get a drink of water, or bathe in the gentle water fall.

Mom is no longer here to share these inspiring events with, but the tranquility of my southwestern desert pond has provided an avenue of creativity I had been ignoring for years. I began creating jewelry from scrap metal, salvaged by my husband.

Many of my pieces are made from re-purposed material. You can find VCR, microwave, and TV parts incorporated into my art. Copper wire and scraps take on a new life, from refrigeration tubing into necklaces and bracelets. Copper electrical wire into wire wrap jewelry. Antique horse collars transformed into stained glass art.

I have now attacked my creativity with passion and curiosity. I have a need to take that inspiration and share with others the beauty of my southwestern Desert Pond.

Thank you for your interest in the items offered in my shop. They were all created with love and passion. Check back often because I am always adding new items. With the custom sort you will be able to sort by most recent in order to find the newest pieces. As you can see by my pieces, I love copper and the aged look copper produces. My love for the desert southwest is reflected in my work. All copper designs are finished with museum quality Renaissance wax which provides protection for both the copper piece and your skin.
