I grew up learning sewing from my mom. She sewed all our clothing growing up and taught us what she knew. Out of the 4 girls my mom had, I have ventured the farthest into the sewing and crafting world. I just love creating things! I started with sewing clothing for myself and others and making quilts. Now I sew clothes for my daughter and sons, as well as nieces, nephews and even have made shirts for my mom!
A few years ago I ventured into the world of embroidery. I started with getting a single needle machine. Then quickly realized that I much prefer having control over the designs and making sure the design is perfect. I purchased a program that lets me create they way I desired. Just this year (2021) I upgraded to a 10 needle embroidery machine so I can do even bigger projects.
As of 2026 I now have two 10 needle machines, and my daughter has her own flatbed single needle machine. We have moved our love of crafts into a large shop space and it has been freeing to finally have space for all the machines and fabric we keep on hand.

I submitted this quilt to the Oregon State Fair and got a blue ribbon. Embroidered butterflies in the corners.
