Humble Humbug
During my senior year of high school, I saw the underground craze over ear cuff earrings. As a naturally rebellious creative, I wanted my own original handmade one to wear. I designed one from a Japanese chain necklace I rarely wore and a floral clip on earring I bought at the mall. For nearly a year I wore that earring all day, everyday, from running at track practice to crossing the stage at graduation. During that time my clip on earring grew popular amongst friends and admirers. And after suggestions from my mom and art teacher, I began to sell them.
As I was researching and teaching myself how to make jewelry, I came across polymer clay designsandtechniques. Hoping to satisfy my, then unknown, alt kid tendencies, I created spike earrings through a happy accident. And eventually, I started to sell those, too.
Since then I've grown a love for creating things that inspire others to nurture their authentic selves, rebellious jewelry and all. 🖤🤘🏾✨️
