Practicing non-attachment

I seek out cast offs, collectibles and certain antiques because I find them fun and interesting. I like to have things just like other people. However, I prefer to not have clutter. Therefore, I could not be a traditional "hoarder" at all. I buy an item, enjoy it for a bit, show it off perhaps and then offer it up to someone else. Thus far I have not stuck to the rule of one thing in and one thing out quite like I should but I'm close.

We have sold to people all over the world. (I had two shops here on Etsy. The other was called "Weirdsville"). We have sold to movie, television and stage play folks. We have sold to artists and photographers. And, obviously, we have sold to collectors. It's good fun and we are glad to be able to share.

I buy it and let it go. It's the best way!

And, as an aside, I am actually Michael. Marlon is a name that I have had for 30 or so years for reasons unknown.

I am a treasure hunter. I find things that appeal to me and I enjoy them...briefly. Then I pass them on. (And then I am usually pissed that I sold it...*sigh*).

I take PayPal but am more than willing to take a check through snail-mail. Etsy has a new direct credit card payment system and I participate in that, too. These days people tend to pay lightning fast which is cool. I do ask that people pay within 5 days and I will get it into the post within 5 days. Seems fair. If you have to cancel I will be sad but I am a reasonable guy. Talk to me. People who pay by check or money order tend to pay slow. Just an FYI; if you are paying by check please get the check into the mail asap. If it takes more than 7 days to get the check I will cancel the order and re-list the item.
Almost every item that is purchased will be sent with a tracking or "verification" number.

I ship with all the major carriers. It depends on what I am shipping and where it is going.

I do insure things if they are $100 or more and if I am asked. If it's $100 or over I will pay for the insurance. Less then $100 then you gotta pay.

If I am paying for the shipping it's gonna go slow.

I do use Priority Mail but a lot of times I do not. So, ask if you want it quick.

I work to have orders in the post within five days of payment clearing. Most often the item ships within a day or two but I can't always promise that'll be the case. I do not always send stuff super-duper fast or priority. It depends on a lot of factors. If I am paying for shipping it might go by boat. I try to get to the post office on Wednesdays and Saturdays. (I have a day job and a life but I understand that you want your item quickly, too). I promise to try hard.

I will ship to your Paypal address unless you contact me with any alternate information.

FOR OVERSEAS FOLKS: I am in the USA and my post office will not track a package to your door unless you pay for International Express. I will provide proof of mailing and a Customs Declaration Number ONLY. I can prove that I sent it but I CANNOT guarantee delivery. If the item does not arrive I will file one official "Inquiry" with the US Postal Service. After that I am out of it and NO REFUND will be offered. The Risk is yours.

INTERNATIONAL: If you live outside of these United States and want something in my collection please ask about shipping costs in advance. You will have to pay the shipping. If customs refuses to allow the package or they charge some outrageous tax or tariff...that's on you! (Sorry). Please be aware of your local laws, etc. regarding these items. If it is illegal or a violation on your end then you need to be aware of that. The buyer is responsible for all fees including duties, taxes, VAT, customs and other charges for lots shipped.
Refunds and Exchanges
I sell old stuff. It is described to the best of my ability and I take high-res pictures for you to look at. I am willing to take more pictures or even video of an item if you ask. I have refunded people in extreme cases. (And, I have done it when I should not have after the buyers did not read the descriptions closely). (That irks me). IF you write and ask for a refund I am am certainly will to talk but I WILL NOT pay for the return postage. The buyer is responsible for the return postage if an item is returned. If I have agreed to take the item back due to a poorly written description and or the item is damaged in some way prior to shipping and not previously described in the posting then I shall pay for the postage. Items are sold "as is" and I rarely accept returns. "As is" does not necessarily mean it's broken. It means that I don't know the item well enough to determine. Ask questions and I will try to explain the item, send more pics or even video. I try hard to explain every item and I am more than willing to speak to you about anything. I am a fair person so please talk to me first.

Having said all of that most people have been really cool about things. I really believe that I have great and understanding customers.

IF, and only if, we work out terms for the return of an item I will ask that the item be photographed and a picture be sent to me and that the item be insured. That is if I insured it when it was on the way to you.
