I'm a New Orleans artist in love with my city! I paint NOLA! Thanks for browsing!
■ New Orleans! Its streets - Its music - Its food! My hometown! ■ I paint New Orleans because it's my place. I was born here and was lucky enough to grow up in this incredible town. When I'm painting New Orleans, I'm loving it with every brush stroke! My style is impressionistic, whether working in oil, acrylic, or pastel, and I try to leave a bit of my heart and soul in each painting as I strive to share my love of my place with you.
■ Painting – with the abundance of colorful life here in New Orleans – the streets, the food, the swamps and bayous, our wildlife – well, it just can’t get any better! Back in the 1970s, I attended McCrady’s Art School in the French Quarter and I am so fortunate to be able to spend my days fulfilling my dream of capturing our Louisiana life on paper and canvas. As I paint our abundance here, I’m living inside the scene, re-living the moment and, as you view my paintings, my wish is that you also share in the joy that is unique to New Orleans and South Louisiana.
Spending my days with my paints and easel, my life is rich and full, supported in every way by a wonderful husband, children of which I am immensely proud, and a loving family. A few years ago, I was In a personal fight with breast cancer. It changed me. It opened my eyes. I survived. I am truly blessed and continue to paint.
Thank you for listening to my story and viewing my work. I appreciate it. If you have any questions, please contact me. I’m here to help. Thank you. Dianne
