Very lovely & unusual, glows beautifully with a candle lit behind it - but arrived with one stand broken off. Stands up well enough on the other one, at least.

Rebuilding the world one stained glass window and pig suncatcher at a time!

You know those moments... when you have to make a quick decision... and it's a big one... well stained glass for me started with two of them. The first was to do the course, the second was in getting the right job.

So I've studied art, design, stained glass, casting, fusing, slumping, photography, graphics, technical drawing, art history and plenty of other things around the edge of all that too. And all of that has led me to the racks, stacks, tubs and pots, jars and piles and bits of glass sitting so invitingly in my little work room.

But don't ask me where the ideas come from... it's usually a 3am 'bright' idea thing, with a quick 'write it down' thing and then a quick 'draw it' thing.

And I love a challenge - a hippo, some shells, Christmas decorations, small pieces used in coasters, larger pieces in windows, old pieces for restorations. And how to use up that pile of glass... that one, over there - the one that looks a little shaky!

I really am just having fun - adding colour to your world!

I am a stained glass artist but for the crafty side I make things up as I go along, often inspired by the pile of glass in front of me, artists I studied many years ago or even the plants I have. In fact, almost anything pops into my head and often ends up getting made. The only patterns I follow are of my own design. I don’t tend to follow trends or themes, so expect anything!
