Note from shop owner I will be selling my jewelry at a Maple Syrup open house this weekend. Since each of my items is unique and there are no two alike I am putting my etsy shop "on vacation" to assure that the same piece of jewelry doesnt get sold twice! Everything will be back up and running soon. Thank you for viewing my shop and please come back again!

About

It just kind of happened...

For my 21st birthday one of my Aunt's bought me a jewelry making kit. It was beautiful. It came with needle nosed pliers, round nose pliers and wire cutters, there was every style of bead you could think of, beading wire, stretchy cord, jump rings, etc. Up until that point I had only made jewelry with hemp so I just stared at this kit for months because I didnt know how to use any of the supplies. So one day I was wandering around the craft section in Walmart (horrible I know!) and saw a necklace and earring making kit with instructions for $4 and I snatched it up. I followed the instructions up until about half way through, decided i didnt like what they were telling me to do and went off on my own. My necklace looked better than the one on the outside of the package and it didnt fall apart so I was quite impressed with myself. I bought several more kits until I got the hang of the basics and I slowly added tools and techniques like crimping pliers. By this point I was hooked. I would spend hours at the kitchen table arranging beads before I found the combination I liked enough to turn into a necklace.

Eventually, as you can imagine, I had an abundance of jewelry. I brought a pile of it to a local consignment shop where I sold a necklace to a customer before the store owner could even get them on display. It was shortly after that that I gave my jewelry a home on Etsy :)
