A multitasking mamma sharing her love of ceramics one pot at a time.

Thanks for taking an interest in my shop! Let me tell you a little bit about myself....

I created Dirtworks Ceramics after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in craft and material studies. After graduation I continued working on my pottery but only part time since I was trying to figure out life working in the corporate world....Because who wants to be a starving artist right? I attempted to survive in the world of offices and cubicles but only made it a year and knew I needed a change. So I quit my desk job and lived a gypsy life traveling around the US gathering new experiences and tricks of the trade. In 2012 I found myself right back where I left off in Bealeton Virginia ready to settle down and get serious. And then life really began I guess you could say. I fell in love, got married, and had a baby and after the birth of my son I knew that there was no time like the present to dive head first into my pottery full time, so thats exactly what I did. I am now a work from home mom which allows me to stay home with my son and be my own boss and work out of my home studio. My only regret is not giving myself to pottery full time sooner.

You can also find me on instagram @Dirtworks_Ceramics and Facebook https://m.facebook.com/dirtworksceramics/. where I post pictures of my workspace, process, pots in action, and family.

Thanks again for taking little time out of your day to learn a little about this multi-taskin mama.
