About

I'm defeating the robots!

I began my clay career in the old timey year of 2000 back in a production pottery studio in Massachusetts. I learned everything about hand building with clay, glazes, and how a production runs. I quickly became the head maker/glazer and was in search of my own studio!

It was hard work, but slowly I taught myself how to throw pots, got a kiln, wheel, and some studio space. Soon after, I found myself moving to San Diego where I took some clay classes to learn more about glaze chemistry. I applied to various residencies around the US including Women's Studio Workshop chili bowl internship and the Sugar Maples residency.

After another move across the country, (to tallahassee!) I've decided to start a legit business doing what I love. I'm also a mom now, so time is divided between having my patience lovingly tested and slinging the mud.

I do a variety of hand building, throwing, and a combination of the two. I strive to create super unique, colorful pieces that reflect who I am and what I love. Is it weird? Sometimes. But I find being true to my aesthetic brings the best results and the most sincere reactions. The best part about what I do is making someone feel nostalgic or snapping them out of their thoughts just for a moment while they smile at my work.

You can find some of my work here as well as at some fine arts festivals around Florida.
