About

Organic Ethnic Accessories inspired in Colombia

I make each piece as if I was going to wear it myself, combining materials with nuts, seeds, and fibers found in my home country, Colombia. Always practicing fair-trade with the artisans that provide me with their wonders and with a green culture in mind. I call that design principle, diverso.

Truly believe we can make ethical decisions about the products we purchase and we can affect positively communities to live a better life. I personally work with Colombian artisans and tribes who live far from urban cities and create beautiful products to support their families.

The Cuna women is an indian tribe who live between Colombia and Panamá and they create Molas, handmade and one-of-a-kind quilted fabrics.

The Wayuu Mochilas are handmade by the Wayuu women, who live in the north side of Colombia, near La Guajira. Each bag is created by them to support their family and it takes them about 20 days to complete one bag.

The fibers used in my necklaces are handmade by a family in the south side of Colombia, two hours away from the nearest city, utilizing a natural fiber called Iraca, found in the tropical forest. It takes them half hour to do one bead.

The nuts and seeds are found in the Colombian tropical forest and the artisans carve and dye them in natural colors or just cultivate them.

Hola.

We create handmade pieces made with love by Colombians. Everything we do is unique, fun and contemporary. We always consider the world and our country on every decision we make about the materials used to create our designs, so we try to use recycled, fair trade, natural, organic and environmentally friendly materials. We also try to promote Colombian art and crafts with the stuff we sell.

Payment
We prefer payments via Paypal. It's fast and safer for everyone. When you submit a payment with an e-check, it usually takes Paypal about 4 business days to clear it. We can't ship your items until the check is cleared. Sorry. No exceptions. We also accept Money Orders.
Shipping
We ship from Chicago, IL but we might ship sometimes from Colombia. We will let you know that in advance (thru the posting), so you can make your purchase decision knowing that in advance, since shipping from Colombia could take a little longer or be a little more expensive than shipping from the US.

We try to ship your purchases as soon as possible but it is usually within a week and we try to inform you once we have shipped it, so you are aware and ready to wait for your purchase to arrive!

When shipping from Chicago, we ship everywhere the USPS does it but please contact us via convos to let you know how much is it for shipping outside the US.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS - When listing an item, we try to estimate as best as we can the shipping cost for international orders using the United States Parcel Service (USPS). That is our default shipping method, however shipping costs might vary to international destinations and can be more expensive than what is noted in the listing price. Please contact us before purchasing, so we can create a custom listing with the right shipping cost for you. Also, when shipping with USPS, there are no tracking numbers and orders might take up to 3 weeks to arrive. If you prefer us to ship utilizing another currier, please let us know in advance and we will find the cheapest currier that can provide tracking numbers for your order.
Refunds and Exchanges
We want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you are not, we accept returns and changes. We won't refund you for the shipping costs. But we will refund you for the value of your purchase. Our shipping costs are very reasonable.

Currently we only charge taxes in Illinois.
