I think "jaw-dropping" is probably the appropriate word, since I just collected my mandible from the hardwood. "Breathtaking" and "astonishing" are also pretty accurate. Holy moly, Divya blew me away!! This came out better than I had even hoped it would! Not that anyone else cares, but she is now "my" taxidermist (/artist)...I wouldn't think of going anywhere else!!!

About

Welcome!

I started this shop to make my passion for taxidermy accessible to all curious people-from those with a deep, established interest in the art, to with those who are very new to this wonderful world and want to learn more. My work is Inspired by science and mythology, and a never ending fascination with the significance of context. I am a self and professionally trained taxidermy artist who currently travels locally and internationally to teach classes and workshops, sell in markets, and exhibit work. I also serve as taxidermist-in-residence at the Morbid Anatomy Museum, teach classes with The Evolution Store, and have begun competing (and winning trophies!) in taxidermy competitions. I welcome custom requests, commissions, and anything from the ordinary to the obscure. Nothing is too great or small! It is a whole lot of hard work, but I am so lucky to follow my dreams for a living, and to be able to share those dreams with you.

All materials used in my work are responsibly sourced. GSTA. Member. For more info on my sourcing (and past work) please see my site at http://friendsforevertaxidermy.com

I have long been inspired by science and mythology. A taxidermist in residence at the Morbid Anatomy Museum in NYC, GSTA member, the NY Times, BBC, National Geographic & hit TV show Oddities have featured my work. Always responsibly sourced. Enjoy!

Shipping
Fragile items are carefully packaged and shipped accordingly, using recycled materials as possible, and any special shipping notes are included in the description of each piece. Gift wrapping is available (and fun!), please send a note with your order. Pick up can be scheduled for local orders (in the NYC area) and will not incur shipping fees. For most items, I am happy to ship according to your preference of UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Basic insurance is included in the shipping cost, if you would like to purchase additional insurance, feel free to message me for an estimate.

Please note that once the item is shipped, it is in the hands of the service provider. I ship from a commercial office building with daily pickup from UPS, FedEx, and USPS, and I usually schedule to send things out Monday/Weds/Friday. Tracking numbers are provided as soon as they are available, and I do everything in my power to make sure packages arrive on time and intact. Kindly understand that shipping providers handle thousands of packages each day, and do make occasional errors. In the rare case of this happening, I will do my best to work with you and the service provider to make sure your package arrives safely.

Due to heavy regulations and the cost of import/export licenses, I do not ship taxidermy or animal products internationally at this time.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are unhappy with your purchase in any way, please message me directly and I will work with you to resolve the issue. Detailed photos and descriptions are there to provide as much information as possible, please take the time to look and read. If you have any questions before purchase, feel free to message me. All items are handmade and one of a kind. No two animals are 100% alike, each of these pieces has a different story, and that is what makes them special.
Additional policies and FAQs
Kindly note-Due to the nature of taxidermy, animals, and natural materials used, each piece is one of a kind. Some items can be re-made or customized upon request, but the beauty lies in the unique character and individuality of each item. The same is applicable for vintage miniatures and props. Items are made to last, especially with proper care and cleaning. If you have any questions, please do feel free to let me know.
