Updates

The shop has had a recent surge due to some amazing features (wave new Facebook friends)! I’m tickled and grateful for the business but I’m especially excited about an even bigger donation on the horizon! Thank you all so much!
It is such an honor to have my woodland letters featured by one of my favorite kid’s resources! As a thank you I’ve put all of my twig art on sale for the weekend!

About

DoGoodDecor is a small shop with a big cause! I've turned my creative outlet into a way to help children in foster care!

DoGoodDecor is a small shop with a big cause: supporting children in foster care! This is why a portion of DGD's profits go to charities that aid these special kids. As a busy mother, teacher, and foster parent, I needed a creative outlet to help me balance out the chaos. DGD gives me another way to give back to my community while also helping me maintain my sanity and sense of self. 😊
My mission is to provide original, hand-crafted, high quality home decor and accessories to clients who want to join me in "Doing Good"!

Frequently asked questions

Shipping Timelines

Our shipping timelines are currently running 1-3 weeks; I promise, we’re worth the wait😊! However, if you need your order by a specific date, I can generally make that happen at no extra charge, just leave the details in your notes at checkout or shoot me a convo and I’ll plan accordingly. Thank you so much for your patience and your patronage!

Supervision

Most of our products are very delicate and should not be used without adult supervision. If there’s a problem with your product upon delivery please contact us right away and we will make it right.

Customize your twig art for free!

I am happy to customize colors on Woodland Letter/Twig Art orders! Just leave a note at checkout; a photo of your exact color scheme is preferred. As long as there is not an increase to the cost of materials, there will not be a customization fee. In the interest of getting everyone's orders out in a timely manner, I am no longer able to offer a photo of each custom order prior to shipping. (Don't worry though; if I have a question about your preferences, I won't hesitate to reach out to you!) However if you would feel more comfortable with a proof of your item prior to shipping please purchase this listing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/617770127/photo-proof-for-custom-orders

How to display your twig art:

To Hang:
The best way to hang your twig art is by gently tapping small finishing nails in at strategic places between the sticks. Some letters (M,N, W) tend to fold in slightly; gently pull them apart to your desired width prior to tacking them down.
On a Base:
If you want to turn your twig letters into a free-standing decor piece, often seen as cake-table decor, you can add a base to your order:

Cake Topper/Table Number:
Our Cake Topper and Table Number's come with a convenient twine loop so that when they've fulfilled their desitiny adorning your event, thay can be easily converted into a keepsake ornament or a dainty wall hanging. Simply break off the base twig, add the twine loop, enjoy!

Other ways to help kids in foster care:

*Donate cosmetics, clothes, or school supplies to your local receiving home.
*Volunteer to drive carpool, help with homework, or drop off dinner to a local foster family.
*Volunteer to become a CASA Worker (Court Appointed Special Advocate) go to www.casaforchildren.org for more information.
*Ask your local school if they have a volunteer tutoring program set up- often times children in foster care have had inconsistent educational opportunities and could use extra support.
*Invite a child in foster care over for a play date or birthday party! Attachment is a muscle that needs to be exercised. The more opportunities a child has to form attachments, the better their outcomes are later in life!
*Give a foster parent/sibling/kid a hug!
