My origami craze started when I was just 14 and stumbled upon 3D origami in search of something I could make for a father's day gift. Since then, I've been hooked. I started out creating simple things, such as swans. I had created one and my mother happened to take it to work and she set it on her desk during the holiday season. Her boss at the time took note of it and proceeded with ask if I could create ornaments for her holiday open house. Now, us Schuberth's have a tendency to take on projects even if we've never done something before. We like to learn along the way and now and then make things more difficult than they need to be. So, of course, my mother told her that I could most certainly make ornaments and then proceeded to come home and ask me if I could. It was then that Dogeared Designs came to life and over the years my ornaments have evolved. I'm always working to add new designs or improve my current collection and as a result there's always going to be something new to see in my shop with each visit.
