These tea bag rests are absolutely lovely! Picture and size are true to descriptions. They are beautifully made, packaged well to ship, and wrapped in a nice little box with tissue. She even put a Happy Mother's Day stamp on the box after I mentioned that I was buying these for my mom for Mother's Day! Very thoughtful!

Handmade today as though it were yesterday

When I was eight, I surprised my family with a shooting star pillow that I had drawn, cut and sewn in the basement from my mother’s fabric collection. In high school, I built my own loom and wove a Navajo rug that still hangs on my living room wall. I took up basket weaving because the fabric store where I worked through college needed displays. Add dabbling with jewelry in soldering and lost wax, stained glass, and glass fusing over the years and I guess you could say I’m a craft technique junkie. I love to create, invent, and to see how far I can push a new material.

As much as I love to travel, I can find inspiration in objects all around me. The texture, the color, the function of garage sale junk is as fascinating to me as a forest floor or an ancient ruin.

There will never be an end to my desire to learn and develop artistic skills. I read, take classes, volunteer, experiment and talk about crafts at every opportunity. I enjoy collecting the work of other artists. I teach crafts to the next generation and hope that I inspire a love of design and an ability to look at materials differently and see the possibilities.

My goal is to make beautiful objects that trigger happy memories for the owner and become family heirlooms. Women choose my jewelry because it is unique but subtle, and makes them feel confident about expressing who they are while going about their busy lives.
