About

A doll with a dream...

Dollydripp was born out of my love of fashion, being fed up of mass produced high street fashion and a bit of bad luck.

I've always wanted to be a designer and I remember being about 6 years old when I announced to my mum that I was going to be a Fashion Designer.

I studied BA(Hons) Fashion Design at University of Central Lancashire, had the most wonderful 4 years there, graduated with a 2:1 and had my degree collection shown at Graduate Fashion Week 2008. I moved to the South East of England and got my first design job in London within 6 months of graduating.

Then the bubble burst...

I was doing a 4 hour a day commute, the stress and pressure of the job was just too much and it was making me hate what I'd loved.
I changed jobs, cut my commute in half but the lack of creative freedom still got me down, Then I got made redundant...

After struggling to find another job I just decided to make a job for myself and Dollydripp was born!

I've always loved retro and vintage styles, especially the 1950's look, but have personally found the clothing to be a bit to similar and lacking individuality. I get bored of seeing the same styles in the same fabrics so I decided to use my fashion background to create cute, sassy clothing with retro undertones that fashionable dolls would want to wear.

I draw a lot of inspiration from vintage/retro fashion as well as historical clothing (I'm a bit of a history geek!) I still follow the catwalk shows as I get inspired by beautiful clothes and I keep up to date with trends and street styles. I try to mix all these elements into my garments and design things that I would want to wear!

Most items are made to order or only available for a limited time which helps to keep them unique. I design and make everything on my own and all l garments are produced with a semi industrial sewing machine for a professional finish.

Dollydripp is now based on the west coast of Scotland.

Dollydripp is also lucky enough to be an official Princes Trust supported business!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalised orders

I am no longer accepting custom orders which are a totally different design to something I already sell. They are too time consuming and expensive.

I am still happy to the change the fabric of an item but only for another fabric I currently use. I will no longer be sourcing specific fabric for individual customers.

Custom sized items will now have an additional fee starting from £10. This is because a new pattern has to be made every time and it is an very time consuming process.
Please ensure all measurements you provide are correct as custom sized garments are non refundable.

For any customised items you will receive photographs to approve before the item is shipped.

Sizing details

All listing have an image of my size chart which are displayed in cm's and inches. The dress sizes provided are UK & US. Please contact me if you are unsure about the sizing.

Sizing details

I always advise customers to measure themselves with a measuring tape rather than go by what dress size they are. This is because most high street store sizes vary. For example you may be a size 10 in New Look but a size 14 in Topshop!

Care instructions

All garments come with specific garment care labels attached. Please read the label to ensure garment longevity.

Wholesale availability

All jewellery and accessories are available for wholesale. Please contact me directly to discuss garment wholesale.
