About

I chose the mug life

All my items are Hand thrown on the potter's wheel, then Hand trimmed, fired in my home studio and glazed by me, and boxed up at my kitchen table.
I've been making pottery since I was 17!! That was 20 years ago! Oh my!! I apprenticed under a master potter in New Jersey, I studied in France, and I was a production Potter for a major Glass and pottery company in Vermont.
Now I'm raising a family, teaching pottery locally, and making work on commission, and selling on Etsy. Please talk to me if there's anything I can make for you!

  • Georgia Donnelly

    Owner, Creator, Customer Service

I've been making pottery for a living for a long time, but haven't had the opportunity to run and keep my own business until I opened this shop. I love my job now.

  • Abigail

    Assistant

Abigail is my 5yr old budding artist daughter. She loves helping me make pottery on the wheel and painting her pots beautiful colors. Her work is for sale and proceeds from her pots go to a savings account for her and to www.hopeforhie.org

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders

Unfortunately I cannot accept any special or custom orders at this time, we've just moved and my studio is not ready yet.

What I need from you is details! What, how many, shape, size, and a price we can both agree on. And also patience, that part is very important. I do work hard to get your order out in a timely fashion, but pottery is a slow process.

Care instructions

For the most part what I sell is food, dishwasher, oven and microwave safe, but not all at once! Handmade ceramics are not Pyrex glass.
Temperature changes should be gradual so if you're going to bake in one of my pots please preheat the pot with the oven and don't go directly from freezer to hot oven! There's a good chance you will crack the pot that way!
I don't usually use a microwave but you totally can! I cannot guarantee that the handle of your mug won't be hot but it will be safe!
I put my pots in the dishwasher all the time. But dishwashers do add wear and tear to your pieces, so if it's very cherished item hand wash it, but putting in the dishwasher is fine too.
My raku pots are not food safe.

Wholesale availability

I am unable to take on any new wholesale orders at this time.

I do currently have a few wholesale contracts and am willing to entertain the idea of a few more. Please message me if you have an interest in something I sell or you think I could make!

Gift wrapping and packaging

Most of my items are wrapped in tissue paper and bubblewrap and I always send a thank you card. If this item is a gift please message me and I'm happy to change my thank you note to say whatever you'd like to the recipient!
