A very beautiful one-of-a-kind piece with a great story behind it. Alex is a true craftsman and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Shipping/delivery was fast and convenient (thanks to hard-working Martin).

Your table is absolutely a "work of art." I can tell you put your heart and soul into this. i will cherish this table as a family heirloom. Thank you for the fantastic service you provided me. I am thoroughly pleased with how professional you conducted this transaction. I am going to use it in my new Shabby Chic Boutique shop that I am opening up in a few months. It will be a main attraction where I will put display risers on the table and decorate it beautifully. I am going to hang a large Shabby Chic circular floral chandelier above it. P.S. Your delivery service was also a pleasure to work with. Chris Maxwell and his wife are so personable and took great care in the delivery from the van into my home. Nice people.

We Love it. Really well done. Exactly what we were looking for. I was surprised how fast it got from New Orleans to San Francisco, 3 days. Arrived in great shape. Alex at Doorman is really easy to deal with. Nice piece of American made Furniture.

My Southern roots spread throughout the gulf coastal states. I grew up in a world of nostalgia where I learned to cherish, admire, and hang on to old things that were from the past. The old meant more to me than anything new.

After Hurricane Katrina, my home New Orleans was in jeopardy of loosing her identity and old world charm. I started to take notice of things that I hadn't once seen. I saw the opportunity to craft pieces from old antebellum and Victorian homes destroyed by the storm.

Each piece I create has its own identity and individual story. The materials I use may have chips, dings, scrapes, key holes, bits of paint, and nail heads. I embrace these distressed rustic markings and see them as an artistic beauty. However, all rust and lead paint is sealed with at least 3-4 coats of satin polycrilic. This protects both you and the integrity of the piece.

If you share the same thoughts as I do, feel free to contact me about a custom piece of your own.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
  • Check
  • Other Method
Paypal, check, credit cards, money order, and paypal
All items are packaged and shipped in wooden and cardboard crates. Items are typically shipped through local couriers or national freight carriers. All customers will receive a paypal shipping invoice before the item ships. Once the invoice is paid, the item will then ship. If an item should be damaged during shipping, do not throw away the original packaging until contacting me first.

Shipping items to other parts of the country can alter the piece over time due to the different climates. Please be aware that shipping to arid, hot, colder, or tropical climates can cause this old wood to dry out and crack over time. All wood and materials are properly dried, well sealed, and waxed before shipping. This helps to preserve the piece from drying out, however over time it is subject to change depending on the climate conditions. Placing furniture near a window or in a sunny room can cause wood tones and color to fade over time. We recommend taking precautions to avoid this. We are not responsible for pieces that change over time due to climate or conditions within your home.
Refunds and Exchanges
No refunds on any online or custom orders. All custom orders are made exactly to the client's preferences. I work very closely with my clients to figure out exactly what they like. I often send photographs, samples, and chat on the phone to figure out exactly the look they're wanting.

For larger items I request at least a 50% to get started. If a customer wishes to cancel an order they must do so within 48 hours. No refunds will be given after this deadline.

No two pieces are alike, and each is designed with you in mind. Please note that the patina and characteristics will vary amongst different pieces.
