Mekoome ist eine architektonische Strickmarke
Im Jahr 2016 beschloss Larisa Kondina, eine Architektin, eine Marke für Strickkleidung zu kreieren. Es basiert auf ihrem Hobby für das Handstricken und den digitalen Designfähigkeiten, die sie während ihres Architekturstudiums an der Estnischen Akademie der Künste und der Universität für angewandte Kunst in Wien erworben hat.
"Me koome" bedeutet "wir stricken" auf Estnisch
Unser Design basiert auf geometrischen Mustern, Farbblockkombinationen und detaillierten Kleidungsstückkonstruktionen. Wir schaffen hochwertige und langlebige nachhaltige Strickwaren und tun dies nach dem Prinzip der abfallfreien Produktion. Wir führen den gesamten Prozess unabhängig in unserem Tallinner Studio durch - vom Design bis zur Herstellung der fertigen Produkte.
Wir folgen dem Prinzip der abfallfreien Produktion
Wir nutzen Ressourcen rational und respektieren die Welt um uns herum. Wir schneiden keine Teile aus Gestrick aus und werfen die Reste weg. Jedes Stück ist in Form gestrickt, und nur kleine Garnenden von 3-4 cm Länge bleiben als Abfall zurück.
Unsere Strickwaren sind nachhaltig, weich und angenehm für den Körper, da wir das Garn sorgfältig aus den besten italienischen Spinnern auswählen. Auch nach mehreren Jahren aktiver Nutzung behalten unsere Strickwaren ihre Form und verlieren ihr Aussehen nicht.

Mekoome is an architectuaral knitwear brand
In 2016 Larisa Kondina, an architect, decided to create a brand of knitted clothes. It was based on her hobby for hand knitting and the digital design skills she acquired while studying architecture at the Estonian Academy of Arts and the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
“Me koome” means “we knit” in Estonian
Our design is based on geometric patterns, color-block combinations and detailed garment constructions. We create high-quality and durable sustainable knitwear and do so on the principle of waste-free production. We carry out the entire process independently in our Tallinn studio - from design to producing of finished products.
We follow the principle of waste-free production
We use resources rationally and respect the world around us. We do not cut out parts from knitted fabric, throwing out the scraps. Each piece is knitted-to-shape, and only small yarn ends 3-4 cm long remain as waste.
Our knits are sustainable, soft and pleasant to the body, as we carefully select the yarn from the best Italian spinners. Even after several years of active use, our knitwear will retain its shape and will not lose their appearance.
