Welcome to Dough Re Mi.

Here are a few facts about the shop:
1. All items are shipped the same day they are made.
2. All orders come with a tracking number.
3. I only use cage-free, organic eggs.
4. I have food allergies. If you have a food allergy (or allergies), please let me know so we can avoid any cross-contamination.
5. I mark all packages 'perishable' or 'fragile' in the (vain) hope that USPS will be gentle with them.
6. I used to sell and ship Pies in a Jar, but now I don't because the mason jars kept getting smashed in transit (seriously, how do you smash a mason jar? Those things are super strong).
7. The 'Shipping Policy' section is super long, but it basically says: I don't make profit from shipping because I refund excess shipping money.
8. I love customer feedback. If you have a suggestion for the shop, send me a conversation.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
1. Perishable items have a 3-day refund policy. The refund can be monetary or I can just remake the item. If possible, please send a photo of the item. If not possible, please be really detailed when you tell me what's wrong (so I can deduce what went wrong and not do it next time).
2. Because you can purchase insurance on your item for an extra $1.35, Dough Re Mi is not responsible for damaged or lost packages. If you choose to purchase insurance and the item is damaged or lost, DRM will file a claim with USPS. Please know that USPS can take up to 30 days to repay the value of the package. In the meantime, I can offer a refund or remake the item for you.
3. Even if you don't purchase insurance, please tell me if the package was damaged. USPS is seldom gentle with packages (even if they're marked fragile) and I like to report instances of packages being violently manhandled.
1. Payment is due within three days of purchase.
2. Item will not be made/shipped until payment is received.
3. I accept PayPal and Direct Checkout if you are not local.
4. If you are local (Summerville, North Charleston), you can pay in cash if you're having your item delivered (delivery fee of 2.00 applies; please send me a message so that I can set up a custom order).
5. If you live in Charleston, Mt. Pleasant, or any of the surrounding islands (Isle of Palms, Sullivan's Island, James Island, etc.), you can pay in cash if you're having your item delivered (delivery fee of 4.00 applies; please send me a message so that I can set up a custom order).
6. If you want an item delivered on a specific date, please send me a message.
A Really Important Message About Shipping:
Everything at Dough Re Mi ships priority mail to ensure you get your product fast. Usually, Dough Re Mi ships items in a priority mailing box which means the shipping price is based on the package's weight and the zone it is being shipped to. Since DRM is based in North Charleston, SC, areas such as Mt. Pleasant, James Island, etc, are Zone 1 areas. Shipping items to these places will be much cheaper than shipping items to, say, California, which is a Zone 7 area.

In an effort to save customers on shipping, DRM does this: Our non-chocolate, non-marshmallow items ship in a medium, flat-rate priority mailing box ($10.95 regardless of weight/zone), but we do not charge shipping for additional items. Further, we check which shipping method is cheaper for you. If it's cheaper to send your item in a weight/zone-based priority mailing box, we will do it that way and REFUND THE EXCESS SHIPPING MONEY.

An example of this would be: Shipping a 5 lb 8 oz package to Columbia, SC, a Zone 2 area, costs about $8.00. Shipping a 3 lb 9 oz package to Lake Villa, IL, a Zone 5 area, costs $12.40. It is cheaper for the customer in Lake Villa to pay for the medium priority mailing box. And since the shipping for the customer in Columbia only cost $8.00, DRM will refund them $2.95 via PayPal.

DRM DOES NOT make profit on shipping. Shipping goods priority mail is expensive and so it is very important to us to try and keep costs down as much as possible. We will check BOTH shipping methods for you and determine the cheaper option. If your shipping cost is cheaper than what you paid, we will refund you your excess money via PayPal.

1. Your item will be made once payment is received. Please allow 1-2 days for production as everything is made fresh.
2. Because all of what I make is perishable, everything ships priority mail.
3. If you are outside the US and wish to buy something, send me a conversation where we can discuss shipping.
4. If you're local (Dorchester, Charleston counties), I can refund your shipping money and deliver your item for a small fee.
5. You can purchase insurance on your package for an extra $1.35.
6. In the summer time, because things are liable to melt, you may purchase a reusable food service ice pack for $2.00. If you do not buy the ice pack and your item melts, we are not responsible. We do freeze the item before it ships and we have not had a problem with melting, but we offer the ice packs just in case.
Additional policies and FAQs
1. If you have a gluten, nut, or dairy allergy, please let me know before you purchase so there is no cross-contamination.
2. USPS is not supposed to leave perishables items on the doorstep, but sometimes they do. Please, please, please make sure you or someone else will be home when your package is supposed to arrive.
3. In the summer time (and in generally hot-weathered places), items are liable to melt! You may purchase a reusable food service ice pack for $2.00. If you do not purchase the ice pack and your item melts, we are not liable. Generally there is no problem with melting, but the ice pack is offered if you live in a really hot-weathered place (like Arizona).
