The detail on her work is outstanding! I bought this as a gift to my god daughter and the family loved it! Beautiful!

Wonderful, with super nice subtle touches. Fantastic, hued coloring and subtle texture and etching.

Wonderful. Such nice subtle touches. Nice coloring and subtle texture. And the saucer and lid double as... lid saucer in dual, inverted purposes, fitted well to achieve both.
From Criminal Lawyer to Potter
Sometimes I find it hard to believe the transformation that is my life. In the '80s and '90s, I lived in New York City, working around the clock as a criminal lawyer. I decided to upend my world and move to a small farming town in the Midwest. My daughter and I moved half-way across the country and it was like moving to another continent.
Getting into ceramics seemed like a totally organic next step. I found something I loved to do, that gives me a sense of quiet satisfaction. I like tweaking the craft to dream up new ways of making the ancient forms more useful or visually pleasing. When I first began selling on Etsy, I tried out two of my inventions: an all-in-one ring holder/earring bowl and a stoneware mug with a lid that doubles as saucer. To my delight, no one here sold anything like them at the time. (Of course, on the internet, all good ideas eventually get copied, but it still gives me a thrill to know that I dreamed them up!)
In recent years, I have gotten obsessed with making porcelain jewelry. I love discovering beautiful vintage findings, and making molds of them for porcelain.
I usually use muted, earthy colors, for no good reason except that they are my favorites!
Around the web
I always imagined that ceramics was something I would love to do, and I found out that I was right about 15 years ago. I learned by doing, under the guidance of a ceramicist mentor.
All my pieces are fired to cone 5/6 (over 2100 degrees F) with these food safe glazes. They are dishwasher and microwave friendly. Every item is hand made and fired in my studio, and I try to sign each piece. I like to create functional pieces that are a pleasure to look at and to use.
