Announcement   Diamonds were once carbon, porcelain was once clay, glass was once sand and these art pieces were once humble domestic plastic.

At Down Side Up Studio I love to flip conventional ideas on their head and create meaningful, unique and unexpected artworks. Enjoy.

Shop policies

Last updated on July 10, 2011
Welcome to my policies page. You are probably interested in my work, yes?
Good for you... good for me. You have excellent taste.

Please read my polices carefully to see what purchasing from me will be like.

Accepted payment methods

  • Other Method
Payment
I accept only PayPal at this time. If you would like to explore alternate payments or trades please work out details with me thought convo prior to purchase.

Interested in wholesale or consignment? Convo me and we can explore it.
Shipping
In keeping with my personal values and shop aesthetic, I ship items using as much recycled material as possible. I use the slowest (least expensive) shipping, but can change this on request.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to love, love, love your purchases so I work hard to create unique, wonderful pieces and provide shoppers with accurate photographs and descriptions.
However, if you are unhappy once you have received your order, please let me know within 7 days . You may return the item to me with a description of what was wrong and I will gladly refund your money. You will have to cover the return postage of course.

** I am the type of artist who is absolutely, completely and blissfully happy while creating a piece, but ready to move on to the next creative challenge the moment the "love affair" is over. I hope that when you receive my items your love affair with them lasts and lasts. They deserve it and so do you.
Additional policies and FAQs
As many of the techniques and materials I use are unusual and new, there aren't many stress and/or longevity tests available.
However I have done preliminary tests on the dyes and curves.
Dye permanence has been tested by soaking and scrubbing to assure that the dye has truly penetrated the plastic and won't rub off or bleed.
Sample spirals and curls have been monitored over the course of about a year to assure that shapes do not degrade over that time.
