Planing your ruler to a consistent thickness! This Dewalt planer with shelix cutting head is a beast! -
The planer leaves a very nice finish, that just needs a simple hand sand before applying paint and stain. -
Weathered Wood boards are ready to be carved. Some of these became rulers and some were name signs!

Growth Charts- What does w/ pen mean?
The pen option includes a Sharpie brand oil based paint pen, fine tip. These are better than a standard permanent marker because they don't have a metallic red cast to them in certain lights. That said, any oil based paint pen or permanent marker definitely works too!
Walnut, Weathered Wood, and Whitewashed GIANT Rulers will be sent a black paint pen.
Rustic Black will be sent a white paint pen.
What's with the long lead time on Growth Charts?
Our current lead time is the first line of every item's description.
Our growth charts go through a lengthy process to transform from the raw piece of lumber to the growth chart your family will cherish. Our hands are involved in every step of the process, so we do require a little time to complete your order. We think you'll agree- they're worth the wait!!
At this time, we are unable to offer a Rush option.
Want to see exactly what you'll be receiving? This way you know exactly what the woodgrain, knotholes, and color is?
We are more than happy to send you photos of your actual item, prior to us shipping it! There is no cost to this service, but you need to reach out to us AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE and may need to add 2 weeks additional lead time.
