About

Functional Pieces of Art Made of Industrial Materials

We didn't invent the wheel but we have been in the business for several years now. We see a lot of copy-cat companies that are beginning to surface (and that's ok by us). We don't want to mass produce. We want our clients to have pieces that are as unique as they are. All of our pieces are 100% designed by the owner and not simply replicated from another company. We don't want to point out what competitors may be doing poorly, so instead, we will just give you some more info about our pieces.

- Pieces made from steel are cleaned and coated with a surface enamel. This protects the metal and prevents it from corroding.

- Electrical pieces are made from high-quality Underwriters Laboratories (UL) listed electrical components. This means that the item has been designed, manufactured, tested or inspected, and marked in accordance with requirements of National Electrical Code which is the regionally adoptable standard for the safe installation of electrical wiring and equipment in the United States. It is part of the National Fire Codes series published by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), a private trade association.

- Concrete pieces are reinforced with steel making them strong and durable. We also use high crack resistant concrete ensuring that your pieces will travel well and can withstand the elements.
- We use Eco-friendly products. All wood products are finished with water-based stains and water-based polyacrylic finishes. These products are better for the environment than lacquer and don't pose unnecessary safety risks for our artists.
- Oil based stains can cause streaks or splotchy looking wood, especially on cheaper quality wood. We use water-based stains that are evenly taken up to show the woods true grain pattern.
- Our wood comes from a local IL based sawmill as opposed to those "big box stores." We handpick every piece of wood that we use. This ensures that your domestic and exotic wood pieces are free of knots and have unique grain patterns.
- We use non-toxic wood glue and Eco-friendly mineral oils and wax in our cutting and display boards. This ensures that you and your family aren't subjected to toxic chemical during food prep.
- Our glass pieces are made from 2 US based glass designers which makes all of the pieces themselves. These polished pieces ensure that no 2 glass globes are identical.
