Announcement    Welcome to Drawn To Hot Rods! Drawing hot rods since 2013.

I work full time as a letter carrier and in my spare time I like to draw.

Drawing with colored pencils has it's challenges. First of all, it's very hard to erase. Therefore, I have to make sure every line and every shade is what I want. Occasionally, a mistake can be covered up with a darker color, but never a lighter color. Secondly, I am drawing with a tip of a pencil. It can be very time consuming drawing little sections at a time. A drawing may take me 4 -6 hours to do, but I can't sit down for 4 hours straight. Therefore, even if my drawing takes 4 hours to draw, it generally takes me a week of finding the right time to focus on my drawing. A good drawing can't be rushed. And finally, the finished work, fine tuning the end product is a combination of everything that went into the drawing in the first place, adding shades, adding colors, being sure of every stroke, and ultimately, being happy with the work. I want customers to be happy with my work too. A lot of times, I wonder if people really see the work that goes into colored pencil drawings. I hope this sheds some light on what goes into every piece of my artwork. I will not sell any custom work that doesn't make me happy.

Here you will find hand drawn classic cars printed on greeting cards and quality paper. I currently only have a few hot rods drawn, but I do plan on adding to my collection on a regular basis.

I really haven't drawn too much in the past 30 years and wanted to see if I could still do it, so I bought some Prismacolor pencils. I was pretty happy with my first drawing, so I thought I'd try to sell them on Etsy.
