Handmade Jewelry - Exporations in Metal, Enamel, and Resin

Hello and thank you for stopping by! My name is Ann and I am the jeweler behind Dream Spiral Art. My work is primarily inspired by nature and my travels. As part of my undergraduate degree, I spent eight months in the South Pacific, where I studied art and literature at the University of Tasmania in Hobart, Australia. While there, I even had the opportunity to stay in the bush with an Aboriginal family and help them paint hand-made digeridoos, a native instrument made from a hollowed tree limb.

After graduating from university with an Arts degree, I embarked on a six-week RV trip to see the Southwest U.S. A few years later, I decided to relocate to the East coast. In 2005 I moved to Richmond, VA, where I met my husband. Yes, the slogan is true - “Virginia is for Lovers”.

My husband and I live in a 100-year old farmhouse that we share with our three “kitty-kids” Potter, Albus, and Sprout and our Baby Boy, who was born March 2015. When I am not hammering away in my jewelry studio, you can find me digging in the vegetable garden, hiking in the woods, playing volleyball, or working on our gazillion home renovation projects. I am also a Certified Massage Therapist and run my own practice here in Richmond.

Item(s) in stock usually ship within 1 to 3 business days, unless otherwise indicated. Special requests, custom orders, and handmade to order items may take longer to ship - anywhere from 3 to 14 business days to ship. Ship times are estimated in each item listing. If you are purchasing with a tight deadline, be sure to check with me, and I will do my best to accommodate a rush order. I always strive to get your order to you as fast as possible, without compromising the quality of the work.

U.S. orders ship via USPS 1st Class mail (usually 2-5 days). Delivery confirmation is included for all packages. However, insurance is included only for items $50 and up. Contact me right away if you want to add insurance for orders less than $50. You may also upgrade to Priority shipping for an additional $4.00. Contact me for overnight shipping or other upgrades. Shipping is automatically combined for multiple items purchased at the same time so you get a price break.

All INTERNATIONAL orders will be shipped via USPS First Class International Mail (6 - 10 business days). In my experience, delivery can take anywhere from 6 days to 6 weeks. Occasionally a package may be held by Customs (as the recipient, you are responsible for any Customs fees deemed by your country). I am not responsible for Customs delays or interference. All International orders now include a tracking number. Only orders over $50 USD include insurance. You have the option to add insurance to orders under $50 USD. Contact me right away for this option, otherwise, buyer accepts responsibility in the case of loss or damage.
Refunds and Exchanges

I understand that when purchasing online there is always a small element of surprise when your item arrives and you get to touch it and try it on. I take great pride and care in my work to ensure its quality and integrity. I want you to love each piece as much as I do. Usually it's a hit; but occasionally it's a miss. Therefore, I have a return/exchange policy outlined below.

Refunds/exchanges (minus shipping costs) for items in their original, unused condition are available when you contact me within 5 days of receiving the item in the mail. If we arrange for you to return an item, you are responsible for the return postage. I also require that you ship the item back within 5 days of our discussion, so that I can put it back on the "shelves" for another customer. Please ship the item in its original box/packaging. When it arrives, I will notify you, and then send a refund (minus shipping costs). If you do not ship the returned item in a timely fashion, you will receive store credit instead of a monetary refund.

Please understand that I exhibit at several art festivals and sell to shops and galleries year round. All of my work is handmade - many pieces are one of a kind - and I have limited inventory. This is why I ask that you arrange a return or exchange with me within 5 days of receipt of item and ship returns in a timely fashion.

*Please note that custom work and re-sized rings are not refundable or exchangeable - NO EXCEPTIONS.
Additional policies and FAQs

All jewelry ships wrapped inside a gift box or in an organza jewelry bag. For orders of multiple items, pieces can be packaged together or separately, so please let me know if you have a preference, otherwise, in the interest of conservation, I'll use a single gift box for multiple items.

Please note: in order to reduce waste, I also try to use the smallest amount of packaging that will allow your order to arrive safely. Whenever possible, I use recycled packaging materials and bubble-wrap.

To ensure the proper fit, please have your finger professionally sized before purchasing or commissioning a ring.
For information on ring sizing and how to convert international sizes to U.S. sizes, check out this website: http://www.onlineconversion.com/ring_size.htm

Feel free to contact me if you have questions, concerns, or to inquire about commissions. I love to hear from you! Positive feedback and your referrals are always appreciated. Please keep me apprised of any issues before leaving feedback so I can work with you on an appropriate resolution. Your business means the world to me!
