Hello and welcome to my shop.

I am a self-taught hand-crafter who loves all things wood, and anything old and rusty. The more rough, rustic and beat-up, the better. I especially love making walking sticks/staffs/canes; it started out as a little hobby, but it's kind-of progressed to a near obsession now! I create the sticks as the ideas come to me, and I use whatever I have on hand, often times recycling and repurposing bits and pieces of animal bones, antlers and skins, gemstones, crystals, glass beads, leather wrap, etc. Sometimes I also like to try my hand at carving and burning wood spirits and decorations in the wood - whatever idea pops into my head, i'll try it. In some ways, the wood 'talks' to me and tells me what it wants to be; in other ways, it's just my imagination that fuels my creations.

There are natural flaws and imperfections in the materials I use, and I like it that way. The more rustic and rough, the better. It makes the stick more interesting and unique - I actually prefer to use pieces of wood that are lumpy, bumpy and beat-up. I like to think that even the 'ugliest' wood can be made beautiful.

I also enjoy reusing and repurposing old items and materials; primarily wood, but also tin, metal, door knobs and hooks, handles, hinges, screws, nails, windows, shutters - basically any kind of building materials and scraps I can find.

I invest a lot of thought and time in my creations, and every piece I make is unique. I don't have a lot of fancy equipment or big power tools at my disposal; when I say my items are "handmade", it's literal.

My items aren't perfect nor pristine in appearance. Whether you hang them on a wall, use them to go hiking, or use them for meditative purposes, you'll never find another one exactly like it.

If I could keep every stick I make, I would, but I know I cannot. My hope is that they go to people who appreciate them and enjoy them just as I would. Everything I create has special meaning to me. I hope you can find something that has special meaning for you as well.

Feel free to email me with questions, ideas, or thoughts.

Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be as happy with your purchase as I was in creating it.
Please keep in mind that my items are all unique and made by hand, and are not intended to be perfect in appearance. There are natural flaws and imperfections in the materials I use and, although I will normally point out anything glaring or unusual, my items are supposed to be rustic and rough.
If you are not completely happy with your purchase, please contact me to discuss the situation. If the item is returned for a refund, all return shipping costs must be paid by the Buyer. The item must be received back in the exact same condition as when it was shipped.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
Additional policies and FAQs
Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Custom orders are always a possibility, and I will be more than happy to talk with you and exchange ideas. My inventory of wood, beads and 'knick-knacks' varies over time, but if you have a specific design for a stick that you want, I am more than willing to try to make it for you. Costs for custom orders will vary and depends upon on the type of wood used, the adornments requested, and the completion time-frame that's requested. I require a $50 downpayment , or 1/2 of the price up front, and the rest upon completion of the stick, before shipment. Again, feel free to email me with any questions or thoughts.
