About

Adrift at sea, washed ashore and found by me. Useful and beautiful driftwood art for your home or office.

I have grown up on the many beaches and coves around Cape Ann where I hunt for interesting bits of nature to create with. Driftwood is the main focus of my designs. Adrift in the open sea, wind, water, and time builds character, turning driftwood into a piece of art in itself. Tiny creatures such as mollusks add their personal touch by creating interesting holes and patterns in the wood. Found objects such as beach stone, shells, salvaged rope, netting, and bait bags cut right off of stranded lobster pots, fused glass that has been handcrafted and fused in my kiln and reclaimed metals all can find their way into my designs to create whimsical and functional one of a kind pieces. Air plants are sometimes added for a touch of character and life.

I have always been a collector of natural objects and a look around my home you will find bowls of sea stones, shells, pine cones, seed pods, sea glass and driftwood. Over the years I have made a variety of shelves, wall pieces and even our doorbell from driftwood. Bringing a bit of nature indoors adds warmth and energy to the home. At Drifter's Cove you will find a variety of useful and beautiful charismatic items such as key and coat racks and fun pieces for your wall or desk that are both functional and beautiful.
